I fail to see the point of a ride-on lawn mower since I got a robotic mower. Electric, fully autonomous, I've never looked back. People must really love doing a mind-numbing job to still use a ride-on for larger lawns.

Still, this one's fun, even though it's even more pointless than the 'real' mower it's derived from. Good job, Honda.
I like it. It helps forget the day job.
People will be saying the same thing about cars in 20 years. I love pushing my petrol mower around the garden. I get some sun, the smell of petrol and grass is wonderful, and I don’t have to watch st TV.

Completely agree! I'm in my own little world for half an hour - can't hear my phone, can't hear my kids, can't hear my other half. Bliss!

Don't you guys have a garage? Have you not claimed your God given right to a man's sanctuary, a shed?

Just a shallow marketing exercise, to call this record breaking defies the laws of sport, frankly if it isn't a Porsche going around 'the ring' in under 3 mins then 'am ooot', but in many ways this is both faster and better looking than any Fezza/Macca/M4, but why do you need more than a Golf to mow the lawn, but to be honest the only Honda worth owning was the NSX, did you know the chassis was perfected by Senna himself.....
I'm either sensing sarcasm or missing the point...

Every work place needs some fun in it and this looks like a fun and daft thing that we need in life....

4-stroke ?

Surely it should be a tuned 50cc 2-stroke with open exhaust for the full annoy your neighbours for miles around on one of the only two days a week they could relax in the garden effect ?

How about a turbine powered leaf-blower next ? Who doesn't love the sound of some with a leaf-blower aimlessly wandering aroung the garden at 8:00am ?

The 190HP and "back in V2 format" bit threw me. One of the previous ride-ons had the v-twin engine from something like the VTR1000 in it, which knocked out an apparent 150hp. I wondered what this 190hp v-twin was!

Perhaps VW should do a Golf (course) mower?

It was my attempt at capturing generic PH criticism of this sort of thing in a humorous way.... I'll get my coat!

I imagine Ducati has a V-twin that tops 190hp, but surely honda wouldnt use one of those in their mower

Slightly off topic... but Jess Hawkins has instructed me at Goodwood in my MINI... mad (in a good way!) as a box of frogs comes to mind, so well suited to a project such as this.

My mate (F1 mechanic) says it will do your borders then blow up before you can finish the lawn.
