Never again an awful overcrowded badly organised waste of time sold out to profit & not fans

What a load of bickering and arse biscuits.

Great succinct preview article thanks, I’ll be there on Thursday and looks good as ever

Sadly Goodwood isn't a patch on the early days. It sold out years ago and is just a corporate jolly for too many people.
Agreed. Don't think I'll be going again....

It's no surprises, as we might expect, some car from "insert place name here" will be making its dynamic UK debut hehe

Going for the first time this year.

Glad now to have got Saturday tickets as hopefully England will be in the final on sunday!

Was hoping to see the Toyota TS050 go up the hill but don't see them on the entry list anywhere. Seeing the 919 will be great though as I sadly had to skip Le Mans this year.

Just not looking forward to the drive down from Birmingham, was hoping to take the Lotus down for its first proper drive this year but its sadly not back on the road though. Will have to take the Cactus instead.

You didn't miss it, it wasn't at Le Mans this year.

The arguing about the football is strange - I watched it on Saturday at Luffield - it was a brilliant atmosphere - a great way to watch England!

Anyway I am going to Goodwood on Friday - can't wait. See you there!!!

I have to agree, we went on the second year it was on, 1993 IIRC? tiny hay bales 18” high between us and the track action. Camping behind the house. No massive crowds but all who was there were proper enthusiasts. Each year thereafter it has slowly moved away into what it is now, don’t get me wrong it’s still brilliant, but in a different and less enjoyable way imo.
Bit like all major events, as you mention Corporate jolly.

I’m really looking forward to it, should be good. I’m going with a couple of friends. Another of my friends has four tickets for all four days with Grandstand access and a campsite pass, and now he can’t go at all. I think the grandstand seats are sold out now so if anyone is interested , they are on eBay on a one day auction ending tomorrow. He’ll get them couriered to a meeting point . Apologies for the sales pitch but I am trying to help out a friend who is seriously out of pocket, and hopefully someone on here who wants some tickets for way less than my friend paid.

I'm taking a friend down from nr Lichfield. We'll be setting off at 06.00 hrs on Saturday to try and avoid some of the traffic (so I'd suggest you also plan to set off early as well) as it has been a mare in the past for the last few miles with queuing traffic, even using some well tried
little roads wink Alternatively book yourself a budget hotel about 45 mins (for the night before) away from the event and set out at 08.00 hrs to make the most of the day.

Audi are missing from the manufacturer display list. That's quite a lot of empty space to be filled.

From what I can find out there’s no Audi, Bentley and Volkswagen Stands this year.

They aren’t on the site plan and I’ve asked a couple of questions which seems to confirm they’re not attending this year.

I have emailed Goodwood about Audi - they dont have a stand this year, they wouldnt say any reason as to why. I am thinking it is because there is only really the new A1 to show off but who knows

Last minute but I've just booked a ticket for tomorrow. Haven't been for a few years, and am looking forward to it.

Price hike was a bit steep compared to when I first went!

Why oh why are TVR not here with the new Griffith???? Perfect opportunity, perfect cock up if they don’t make an appearance by doing a demo run of the new car up the hill. Don’t go for a time, just a smokey burnout, donut filled crowd pleasing demo run.

They probably didnt wat to pay enough for the "invite"

Its too big, too busy, to corporate and too many people trying too hard. My last one was 2002. The first 1994

You'd think they would be there to take orders and collect cash deposits from the faithful, but perhaps it's sold out already.
