I can see why that must annoy you so much, and especially so that the parents of children use a big car to carry kids around in (I'm being sarcastic by the way, just in case). Must be so annoying! I get annoyed by things, but someone else driving in their own car which they like isn't one of them. Sounds like petty to be honest.

As a car enthusiast I appreciate that people have different tastes, and if a manufacturer has produced something which adheres to all the relevant laws and regulations then why shouldn't people buy them.
I share those sentiments and I am a bit puzzled at the constant negativity on PH. I don't really know where it comes from as it seems directed at the people as much as at the cars themselves. nickfrog said:

I'm really baffled about the anger and hatred towards them. Some claim they "block" the roads up because they're bigger than an arctic truck, or that they're all driven by [insert terrible PH cliche of your choice] etc etc. Really strange, irrational behaviour.
Cars have long been fast enough, comfortable enough, big enough, convenient enough, reliable enough and generally fit for purpose.
For use on the roads of the UK, there is really little to add, other than removing the need for an often irrational driver to make motorways more efficient.
What we see now is attempts to generate new niches and to differentiate and offer something to covar all possible tastes (whilst also offering broadly the same as the competition), which do not always maintain the previous standards of comfort/utility etc. , but do incorporate a lot of visible shiny bits and baubles, with engineering to get around fundamental problems of some of the fashionable features.
I've liked cars since I was a boy, but most things I see now, are a bit "so-what?".
I enjoy driving, but I'm less and less interested in the cars themselves.

Why is Porsche so determined to make all their cars look awful?
Yes, the 981 Boxster, 997 Turbo, 991 911R, 928 GTS, 959 and so on are such notorious eyesores.E65Ross said:

Nearly always from empty garagers who rarely actually engage in any conversation about cars they actually enjoy or appreciate.

Wish they'd gone the other way and come up with a stretched 7 seater version.. options in this segment are limited.
Agreed - don’t see the point of this. I always felt the Macan was the ‘coupe’ version of the Cayenne. Macan = X3 and Q5
Cayenne = X5 and Q7
This = X6 and new Q8

Isn't the fixed upper spoiler designed to take air flow away from the area where the active wing is?
Anyway, I'm sure the extra wing is fulfilling perfectly the role Porsche intended it to.
Quite. It will really look the part whilst cruising about for a parking space at the Trafford Centre.Anyway, I'm sure the extra wing is fulfilling perfectly the role Porsche intended it to.

Why are Porsche not bankrupt?
All of their cars are ugly have have been for the last 50+ yrs.
They are not only ugly but extremely repulsive especially the non GT 911s, boxsters and caymans.
I don't care if you buyers think they have some sort of prestige to their badge. The cars look cheap and boring like all range rovers.
