And yes, surprise surprise, it's another BMW. rolleyes

GP version though rofl

That white thing in the corner is parked worse. I’m surprised nobody has asked you why your taking pictures of random cars at the gym, I can’t think many would take kindly to it. What could you say, I’m going to take the piss out of you on the internet?

never mind people with funny number plates, i've always thought people who park with their wheels not straight are a bit suspect.

Not random cars.

Illegally chavplated ones.

Which invariably are proving to be BMWs.

Their choice. To go down the criminal route.

But if it offends you then that's your choice.

Cars that are not yours, that you want to post on the internet and mock the owners, that’ll be random then. It doesnt offend me at all, just wonder what you’d do if challenged? I’m betting you wouldn’t show them the link to this thread and call them a chav, would you now? So why be so bold on the internet, who are you actually trying to impress and why are you acting like such a child?

It’s a good point, what would you say AV if somebody asked why you were taking a picture of their car ?

Brilliant white bespoilered Porsche 911 and worries about the statement made by a mildly mis-spaced plate on a small grey hatchback BMW enough to take a photo ?

"Its illegal", I take it you never exceed speed limits ?

I dont like mis spaced plates but it seems weird to be so bothered if you have such a nice selection of cars ?

So what would you say AV ?

Appreciating of course that you would want to tread warily around hardened criminals.

As our laughable and outraged hehe BMW spokesperson has already alluded to, my car happens to be in that shot too!

Anyway I own the car park/buildings. And the shot was taken from other cameras.

Can't be too careful when there's chavplated cars (especially BMWs) and the possibility of the criminal underclass around can we.

A brilliantly AV like answer smile

I feel a bit like Jeremy Paxman. I wonder if you look like Michael Howard.

What would you say AV if somebody asked you why you were taking pictures of their car ?

As I have said to Brook the photo was taken by fixed cameras.

My car is legal.

The BMW is not.

Big difference.

Hang on I have just realised.... you own your own gym ?

Is that so you don’t have to suffer the indignity of paying monthlies ?

Oh and while I’m here - what would you say if somebody asked you why you were posting images of their car from their gym’s CCTV on the internet ?

I'm with you - if you can afford the monthly payments, great. If you can't, don't bother. I think some snobbery comes from the fact that PHer "A" might have bought a Golf R, say, for cash. PHer "B" has leased the same car. PHer "A" then believes that "B" somehow does not deserve the car, or has not worked hard enough for it.

I don't care how somebody pays for a car (as long as it's not through ill gotten gains), as long as they enjoy it, surely that's all that matters?
I thought it was more to do with those people that buy low spec cars with stty diesel engines from high end marques mostly to impress the neighbours and thus dilute the brand's worth (audi a3, BMW 2 series are good examples of this)

Just link the gyms social media account here, I’m sure the owners will see the funny side and you won’t have to go into hiding for too long. It won’t be hard to find you and once they know ‘that tt with the Porsche’ has been taking the piss you might find parking a little more awkward rofl

Would you call a stranger a chav face to face, I very much doubt it. So, the question remains.....

So is mine ?

And your irritation isnt just the registration aspect is it ? there is a thread specifically for that.

I just think that people are flawed and do some stupid stuff, a slightly mis spaced reg plate is low grade, I know how much I sometimes exceed speed limits by in a lowly little BMW sometimes.

So if you have a 911 of any description and you dont exceed the odd limit it is a waste, never mind a GT whatever, so its either wasted on you or you do illegal speeds, and to be fair nobody ever died from a badly spaced number plate.

Am sure every penny of tax due is paid and you never do anything wrong...

Is it their gym or mine though? Their car and my car too.

Check out the Chav plate and good plate threads..plenty of postings of randomers cars on there.

Don't forget that many of the illegally chavplated cars infecting our roads are involved in other crimes too. Many serious ones.

The 'fluck the law attitude' invariably extends to other criminal activities by said miscreants. Vanity chavplates are just the start.

Surely it’s their gym and apparently your building ?

When folk sign up do none of them notice the clause in the membership that says you reserve the right to post pictures of their car on the internet for the purposes of ridicule ?

What crimes has the person whose car you have broadcast here committed to your knowledge ?

Point of order, is illegally flouting numberplate regulations actually a crime, as in one can get a criminal record ?

Fair point but a GT3 for example is about sheer driving involvement not necessarily about outright pace.

I agree noone probably died from a mispaced Chav plate. But chav.plates are illegal for a reason.

Yes there are clearly more heinous crimes.

But there have been numerous incidents where the driver of a vehicle with a butchered Chav plate has not been able to be identified following a RTA and or fatality due to misconceptions about identifying the plate.

Who would want that on their conscience?

But to chavplaters their vanity takes priority above the law.

Deep Thought
