Isn't it rumoured the Transit made it round in under 10 mins but they didn't want to admit that a Tranny van was quicker than a Jag?

Anybody else on Enterprise's website pricing up a Sprinter for the weekend and return ferry crossings?

I'm moving in a couple of weeks... "Be right back love, me and Steve are errr... just nipping to Ikea, be back on Tuesday"

Showing my age here, i always thought a white astramax with a "currant bun and a packet of benny hedgehogs" on the dash was the fastest thing on british roads ... usually half a Rizla from your back bumper with highbeams on ... hehe

I'm much faster in the works van, especially as I'm not picking up the tab for diesel.

why not pick a quicker van
Because this article is probably sponsored by VW and north gate hire.
As pointed out by someone earlier, VW sell a 204PS version of the same van.

The American Ford Transit (that's Transit, not Custom, Connect or Courier.) Is rear wheel drive, is available in low roof (not available in UK) and you can have a 3.5L eco boost V6 petrol with 310 bhp. Would be interesting to see what that could do.

Ford had some experimental Transits with 3.2ltr 20valve 5 pot diesels in them , rear wheel drive , various states of tune from 170bhp to 310bhp .
They were very good for chasing Audis on the various motorways across Europe.
The only problem with them was not being able to turn the electronics off to get them into full hooligan mode .

Back on topic, we are talking euro spec factory models rolleyes

I just don't get why they didn't use a 204 4-Motion, seems an opportunity missed.

A Scottish post lady in a 10 year old Corsa van would destroy that time

As mention before, this is an advert of Northgate and probably they don't use the one with 204 smiles.
