Spurred on by 'ugly wheels' comment in another thread, what are the best and worst OEM wheels ever fitted?

Best could be dozens. Original 911 Fuchs wheels (an the modern '50 anniversary incarnation thereof). Alfa's teledial wheel as per 8C/Giulia QV (biased wink ). Original E30 M3 Cross Spokes. Any 1960's Ferrari.

Worst..? Most squared off Japanese 80s wheels. M4 GTS cross-spoke with orange inserts?

The Ford Ka Teddy Bear alloys have to be a contender for worst OEM (non-standard upgrade only)

How dare you ... that’s blasphemy ... I’m waiting for the 3spoke resurgence and I’m confident it WILL happen!

The Saab 3 spokes look sublime on a 900 turbo.
I thought the teddy bear alloys were a vw optional extra.

I instantly thought of the teddy bear wheels when thinking of the worst but I think they were aftermarket only, made by Ronal apparently.

I LOVE those wheels. Sorry.

Even better on a non-GTS:

And they have the rim code 666M smile

Best - CSLs, Alfa Teledials, 991.2 GT2RS wheels, Escort Cosworth wheels, Sapphire Cosworth lattices, Revos as seen on twincams and MK2 escorts, BBS CH, directionals (on the right car), TTE IS200 wheels.

Worst - the crap 16’ E90 wheels that seem to be rare as a result of being so bad that everyone paid for the upgrade. Absolutely crap looking. Also, EP2 sport wheels - always seem to be swapped for Type Rs at first opportunity.

You may be right, I recall seeing a Ka donkeys years ago with them on but they could be VW PCD etc.

They look alright but ruin the ride, expensive tyres, and the diamond cut finish doesn't last and is very expensive to repair.

I find most of the diamond cut / painted wheels on the current crop of softroaders quite bad.

These Ford Ecosport ones stand out as being particularly gopping:

The worst currently, IMO, is this current trend of tiny diamond-cut spokes, then another set of black spokes between them, like this:

They look absolutely horrific.

Some of the best I think are just proper 5-spokes, or multispokes, in silver or a shade of grey.

Simple is best for me, add a slight dish and I’m smitten.

Stand outs fir me are the e46 CSL and C5 RS6 wheels.

Least favourite are the Boxster lobster claw wheels, bloody awful design.
