Looks like the ‘son of Valkyrie’ is confirmed, codenamed 003.

Mid engine, tie in with a red Bull again.

Having a job to keep up.
13 new model announcements in 2017.
9 new model announcements so far this year, with 3 cars in the last two days.

A higher limit figure this time (500).
Mention of 500 coupe examples, so from that, are we to presume an open version will follow?
No reference to pricing. Perhaps if you have to ask .......... !

Seriously..........this is getting boring now.

I'm starting to worry that AML is very quickly going to become a brand that is unrecognisable to what it is today.........and for me if that happens, then the reasons for wanting an Aston will also probably fade. Personally I don't give a toss about models which are only ever destined for the ultra wealthy, and which in 99% of cases will sit in a garage their whole life and never be seen or heard by anyone. Neither do I care much about the continuation models, that's nothing more than trying to get some money in, there's nothing clever or ingenious about that......in some respects it's bloody lazy to be honest.

If they carry on down this road then maybe my next stop will be something German or Italian, which would be a shame.

Think we should take most of the communication in the weeks before the IPO with a pinch of salt...

This has been known about for a long time though. Not sure where it’ll sit price wise, I thought it was the Vanquish which would compete with the 720S and 488, but given their use of ‘hypercar’ in thinking it’ll be more like the Ford GT and Senna area of £500k+

RB-003 has been discussed in the press for a while now

Don’t confuse it with the 488GTB competitor that Andy Palmer has also talked about building for 2021

I’d also agree with an earlier poster; there’s a lot of noise at the moment because of the IPO. So hopefully things settle back down to normal in a few weeks

They're floating on the stock market, they want the public to know, constant hype and teasers of new models, brand deals with Red Bull Racing, Tag Heuer and the like help boost AM's image in the lead up to the sale.

What! - Only £500k for a limited edition Aston Martin Hypercar. You must be joking, Tim.

Oh no, AMLG ( global now you know ) appear to have suddenly moved into a very different market place. Yesterday's offer was a pair of cars for £7,200,000, so surely today's offer would not be just half a million. They probably now think, the Valkyrie has been way underpriced at 'only' £2,500,000.

For myself and perhaps a few other AM enthusiasts, we have been left far behind now, and will just have to hang on to our existing cars.

wink

From what heard on the grapevine, the project 003 is still a 'paper' idea with an expected price tag of around £800k.

In addition, they made the 001 so good, that they were struggling to make the 002 even faster/lighter etc (to be worth the extra ££).

How this is going to be possible, I don't know, but lets see what happens.

Personally, I'm not a fan of this constant stream of new models, but if thats what you have to do these days, then so be it.

I suppose that if you are just building a car that sits in a collection and is not used, you don't need to worry about function, just form. You never need to worry about warranty either because it will never go far enough to break anything.

Its all a bit boring now, they are essentially project cars that run.

Lets see one entered in the 24H Le Mans and see how they do. Thats the traditional test for a manufacturers top series sports car.

I hope we get to see this, the Agera replacement, Senna GTR and SCG 007C battle it out at Le Mans.

In terms of the road car, hopefully Aston will up their interior design. Although (in my humble opinion) their exterior design with every car they've put out that has been part of the Second Century plan has been great, the interiors seem to be lacking. I wonder how related in design it will be to the Valkyrie, will it have the same carbon tub? gearbox? development of the same electric motors? only time will tell I guess.

For those in the know; has Aston completed the design of this car and the 488 competition (AM9) or is it too early? I've always wondered how many years/months in advanced to running prototypes do auto manufactures complete the design work.

Project 003 will have a turbocharged V6 engine and an energy recovery system.

Supposedly confirmed by Andy Palmer, so says this website.

Developed in house - can that be true?
