Obviously didn’t see what happened prior to the video starting but I gather he pulled out on him on a roundabout/junction? Definitely pisses you off when that kind of thing happens but it’s never got me to consider getting off my bike and getting aggressive with someone. The guy was probably laughing because he was stting himself and that was his natural response. Damaging his car was a step too far and in my opinion I don’t blame the fella for running his bike down. Probably regretted it immediately.

The biker is a tosser, driver probably overreacted in haste.

If that ends up going to court surely he just says the biker was getting aggressive, started punching my car so I got out of there as fast as I could through fear of being assaulted?

Short discussion held here

https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

To summarise

Biker is a complete and utter tool. Driver maybe over reacted, but will never get convicted of anything, even in the extremely unlikely scenario that he’s charged

“Feared for my safety, serious verbal threat made and starting to go back to his bike to get a weapon. Had to get out of there and damaged the bike tomrpecemt him catching me and killing me in traffic further down the road”

Biker is cut up so forces the driver over, hits his car and threatens him. While I’m not condoning what happens afterwards, my 13 years of experience has taught me riding aggressively and having a hot head is not the way to do it. The car will win in every single incident.

Before my buddies and I would go for a regular weekend hoon and it was great but I quickly realised that such speeds should be restrained to the track which is infinitely more fun! There are just too many variables (idiots) on the road which can’t be controlled, particularly in urban areas, and if you can’t restrain yourself it’s more likely than not to end badly in the bikers favour.

Now my braking ability dictates my speed on the road and it’s all about learning how to come to a stop quickly and safely which is much harder than it sounds. Munching laps around a track is the best way to obtain this skill!

Thing is, if the car driver’s manoeuvre was so bad, why doesn’t the biker show it? It’s his video after all.

Perhaps he was driving recklessly? Given his demeanour I would suspect it’s the case

I notice the biker is clearly deeply religious. The closing words of the video hear him say "11:13", which clearly is reference to Luke 11:13

"If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Not my favourite chapter, but it's probably the best he could recall, whilst being apopletically annoyed with how his hard man routine turned out.

It's a good job it didn't happen a minute earlier, else he would have been referring to....

"Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?"

...which just makes no sense at all!

Well, if you threaten people with violence, they will try and extract themselves from that situation. In this instance, by driving over your bike before you can carry out the threat.

Why are people so angry? YouTube seems to be full of bikers with a hair trigger fuse and an apocalyptic reserve of anger ready to be unleashed. I understand that as bikers we are more vulnerable so it is easier to get upset at bad driving because of the danger it puts us in, but we also have to accept that we choose to ride knowing that the roads are filled with the unobservant, tired, stressed and just plain dozy masses.

When someone pulled out in front of me last week, I luckily judged what she was going to do and took the necessary avoidance. She jumped out of her skin when she finally saw me and I just carried on my way.

The driver wins the internet today. That said, if that was my grandfather being treated like that, I'd not be happy. Obv the biker emerged unscathed, but not only that, somehow managed to overtake and make the Citroen stop in a 30mph limit.

What puzzles me is why people post footage like that - the Citroen driver is hardly in the wrong being threatened and having his car bashed.

I'll second all of that. Great move by the taxi driver, I laughed out loud at it (even on the second and third watching!) smile

Bike was an utter knob, threatening to burst an old mans skull, really classy.
And as mentioned before, no footage of the incident ?
