........there were only two TV channels to choose from.

.........on a cold winter's day, most cars struggled to start.

What are you old enough to remember?

I'm old enough to remember when Channel 4 was launched; would have been 7.

Im also old enough to remember being out all day on my bike with my mates in the holidays or at the weekends, we'd go out in the morning and come back when hungry, our parents hadn't a clue where we were but we always came back.

I'm old enough to remember when The Sex Pistols swearing on TV was a front page story in all the national newspapers the following day.

To remember when feckless, financially irresponsible debt junkies and ten bob millionaires living beyond their means were a very small minority of society who were generally looked down upon and regarded with disdain.

Unlike now where they're encouraged, rewarded, protected and bailed out.

The landing was around 8.00 pm UK time - so he wouldn't have been kept up too late.

One early TV memory I have is watching "Our World" in 1967, a special broadcast to demonstrate the fact that geosynchronous communication satellites were now in place and ready for action -
