winter storage tips
Discussion
Presumably not taxed so best to not start engine at all, because it won't reach full temperature and will leave moisture in the exhaust.
If it can be run on the road, drive 20 miles on a dry day once a month and so when put away, everything will be hot.
I have experienced temporary flat spots once, so if left in one place for months, occasionaly push the car about a foot or so, then the weight will be on a different portion of the tyres. I have thick carpet under the tyres, but whether that makes any difference, I don't know.
Cover with dust sheets.
Take precautions regarding mice. Some suggest poison, lavendar bags under the engine, cotton wool soaked in peppermint oil under the engine. Electrical wires are now insulated with something tasty.
As above, plus I used to put one of these in the footwell (about a tenner from B&Q) when I used to 'winterise' my old GTO, and it worked a treat, kept the inside dry and no smells, just check and if needed empty the plastic tank every few weeks, you'll be surprised how much it draws out if it's parked outside or in a damp garage.
It works on chemicals and doesn't need any power supply.
