Saw one of these on an A7 last week, the car was less than a year old, I was surprised to say the least. It seemed more fitting on a rough old A3 / A4, but hey, wouldn't the world be a boring place if we didn't have these things to chat about laugh

To summarise:

Stickers you don't like are popular with stupid bellends.
People who think others are bellends are bellends for thinking it.
It's ok to discuss bellends and laugh at them, so long as they're antics are harmless, which most are.
Sort of. What I was getting at was those demanding stuff be banned just because they don’t like it, rather than because it’s causing any harm, are the biggest bellends around. Nothing wrong with disliking or disapproving of something but if it’s doing no harm you should let them get on with it -that’s called tolerance. Doesn’t mean you can’t mock though

Well they all had the M-Power colours painted on the grille, so they need another way of standing out..
they're not even painted; those are just snap on covers. Last seen on a 318d

Their mods might not be tasteful to some, but good for them for modding their cars.
Don't most of us car nuts do that?
There aren't many of those left on PH. Its more for people to berate others these days, just like in this thread...
Not all mods are the same. i count myself as a bit of a foodie, but i am not sure i would get on with someone who regales people with passionate stories of how he loves to eat cat food.

I think you're getting confused with figures of speech. This may come as a surprise. But when angry people threaten to kill each other, it doesn't always mean they have murderous intentions. But they are bellends.

Has anyone come across the recorded audio thing?

There were a spanish/south american couple on the bus. They were recording audio and sending it as a message to others, and then getting messages back confused Why not just call them

I’m afraid there’s a grain of truth in that. In my youth I had cars that you didn’t push your luck by turning the engine off anywhere that it would be inconvenient for it not to start again.
Another old habit is not putting my seatbelt on until the engine is running. Could be a wasted effort. hehe
I think that's why I don't like auto stop/start. Took many years of driving aging BL products gives me a nervous twitch when an engine cuts out laugh
I dislike the slight shudder when they re start (well ,BMWs do) I shudder when I think of the cost of the likely premature starter motor replacement or the need in some cases for a second battery

I have come across the "hold one's phone as if one is about to devour it like a chocolate bar then shout at the mic" bell-endery, is it possible the two phenomena are related? Foreigners are incredibly excitable with such follies so we may have witnessed the same thing.

There was an app called voxer a few years back which turned our phone into a walker talkie. It was quite fun for a bit.......

I have to agree with you on that topic.

I had a 123d with stop/start. The AGM battery that needs coding to the car lasted 4 and a half years and 55K miles - cost £250!

The starter motor lasted 6 and a half years and 77K miles - cost £600. eek

Stop/start always turned off after that!

Yeah this does my swede in too, lad drives past our house doing it all the time. It's time to follow him home and fill his exhaust with spuds

Saw one of these this morning attached to an A6 Taxi... the race to the bottom was very short then!

ive seen a fair few of the VW/audi brigade do one of these 2 moves;-

2 lanes at traffic lights. right lane to turn right only. lights go amber and they go straight ahead (fast for many but the arrogant ones will take their time and saunter just a few milimetres ahead of you without actually allowing you up the inside)

or

2 lanes straight ahead. your man in the right hand lane on amber boots it across the front of you to take the left turning.

i dont actually think these idiots have a particular destination. i think they are just driving about looking to tick people off. some people go bowling some go to a night club some drive their cars about for the laugh.

Is it me or is it mainly older people that seem to do this? Older as in 35/40+?

i like the chuff of a subtle blow off valve but draw the line at rally-esque parps and farts on a road car and as for flames out the back.......bell.

Apple watches have a walkie talkie mode, rarely use it however the other week was at the butty van at work when all I kept hearing was “scotch egg please” looking around a colleague was waving at the window rofl

On a decent car it's fair enough, but some of the crap I see that sounds like an old F1 car driving past.
