Man the car up a bit. Loads of guys say its a girls car but if had 300 bhp and 4wd they would soon change their tune..........its an attractive thing.
Why would you want to Audi'fy it..... Yes steering feel is numb, yes you are a little stretched out but to drive its frenetic, involving and down right fun. (Yes I do own a 2018 Comp....)

Add the carbon interior lovelyness at great expense and it does make you smile and doesn't shout it's a decade old design.

I really like the seating position especially now I've put a steering wheel extension on. I've done 150 miles in mine today with no bother.

I've only had my 595c comp for two weeks but I'm loving it. It replaced a turismo which I'd had since January, I covered over 11k miles whilst I owned it.

Brilliant little cars with a really lively community around them too.

Tried the TTC on in the wet yet? Enormous fun! Sure it’s just as fun without the diff driving

I really have a soft spot for them. I think because in many areas, they are a bit compromised. Old school pocket rocket feel: let's throw a big engine in there, tweak things a little bit so its still safe to drive -- and to hell with overthinking.

The result drives well enough, is quick, safe, reliable and retains useablity -- all while making you smile. And it's not only superficially pretty, but somehow seems to embody Italian 'Bella Figura'. For me, a car that is more fun than it has any right to be just looking at facts -- probably mainly because it is not taking things so very seriously.

Probably today, its the first time it will have been out in the wet. I'm over 60p miles so the tyres and brakes are nicely bedded in now.

Brakes are pretty good but my 595 comp chews through rear brakes almost yearly.

Never found the steering lifeless it's quite a chuckable little car and superb fun to drive.

In fact it's the only car I've kept for more than 3 years. And on the fun scale is equal to my lambo. I really do love it that much.

If you use TTC then that causes the rear brakes to be chewed.

Some newer cars come with brembos as standard the older cars it was optional so yes very confident braking.

Yup, I've got the brembos on mine. But a big thank you for the TTC thing. I never knew that was the cause of it.

Engaging the TTC reduces the traction control intervention and allows a lot more wheel slip?

If engages the electronic LSD and at least on my car seems to allow more slip. That said, making use of it on the road probably means you are bye bye licence territory

I have the mechanical diff in mine (as does ecsrobin as well I think) and around Milton Keynes you can make use of it without being in licence losing territory, especially in the wet smile

It also wouldnt explain why it wears the rear pads more than the front, given that it is supposed to adjust the front wheels not the rear...

My thoughts were it’s the fronts but a few more supposedly knowledgable people on the owners club suggest it effects the rears.

Maybe I need to upgrade and forget selling it then ! I also changed the tyre size some time ago and went to 215/40/17. Just put a set of Rainsports on it and so far very good ! Expect them to wear quickly

I do think this needs some work I'm no expert but these have been through lots of spec changes over the years. 595 turismos are 160bhp I believe and so were comps then recently they became 180.

Servicing is 12 months or 6000 miles I think, until recently when they changed it vaguely for newer models to the longer specs but old ones still operate under the old rules. It's also noted that nothing changed in between and it's probably worth sticking to the original rules....

I'm sure someone else knows better than me but I'm not sure this article is entirely accurate.
It's not: the 595 Competition is 180hp.

Just back after a 300 mile round trip to see a potential car for my son.

Car presented really well by the garage and was good to drive so deposit taken and pickup on Friday.

Son loves it which is a good thing and I was impressed as it was a noisy, angry little thing which yoot seem to like.

Have been looking at Abarth's myself in the last few months.

Might have been just the ones I looked at, but the ones with leather seats (non-Sabelt) seemed to wear a bit more on sides of the seat than I would expect. Is this normal?

Yes fairly normal in my experience.
Same problem when I was looking for ours. In the end accepted some scuffing with a view of sorting down the line. Four years later still not got around to doing it.
For reference mine was an 09 plate with only 24000 miles. Certainly not got any worse to the point you would argue wear and tear on a nine year old car now but I was surprised by the condition of some. Maybe a job for this winter.......

The only thing stopping me from buying one of these is the lack of cruise control. Even corsas come with that these days, I don't know why fiat can't list it as an option?
