Love the cars and what they are doing, but what about the SVA rules where if you start modifying suspension, drivetrain, brakes, and shells, it gets to a point where the vehicle needs to comply with many modern regulations? How do they get round that?
I only ask because a mate has a Capri with an LS1 fitted, with suspension and brake upgrades etc and all to make it safer, but the project has come to a stop because he fears it will not be possible to pass and SVA test?
Doesn’t need an IVA if it scores under 8 on the assessment. It has to be significantly different to be classed as radically altered and require an IVA. As long as the shell isn’t radically altered it’s pretty tough to score 9

The videos are outstanding. Their attention to detail is heartening and the stuff in the background is tantalising, the Manta, the Imp and so on. Sort of like a dream garage in the making.

Absolutely stunning. I love that Alfa, such a pretty car. Brilliant to see a bunch of guys doing so well.

British engineering & innovation at its best so maximum respect to the expertise & one in the eye for the blinkered judgemental 'originality' critics.

To echo everybody else on this thread - I love these guys.

A great example of British engineering.

Would love to give them on of my spotters one day....

There is an NSU RO80 in the pics. The turquoise saloon.

I do hope they will be sympathetic. That car MUST keep its rotary engine. Please.
It is. Check out my link further up the page. That car is pretty much a restoration rather than a restomod

Been working with these guys on the Alfa, they've bought a bunch of parts for it from us. Impressed with the engineering that's gone into it and the quality of their work. Callum's a nice bloke too.

We often talk about the fantasy euro millions garage on PH...

If I had proper funds, my purchases wouldn’t involve sitting in a glass and marble office, discussing my latest super car specs with a designer suit. Be under no illusions, I’d attend track days around the world and hire these incredible machines to fully experience them.

But my collection of 5 or 6 special cars would be the result of hanging out with guys like this and singer in the states. Drinking tea from chipped mugs, patting a friendly dog, walking inbetween lots of ongoing projects and coming up with bespoke, useable classics of my own choosing.

It would also make me immensely pleased to line the pockets of the talented engineers and craftsman putting these things together rather than corporations and financial institutions.
^^^^ This.

Would really like to take their W116 but drop a Chevy v8 in it per the W108 project.

We urgently need a "What Restomod would your lottery win buy?" thread.

Hi, Nat from Retropower here. Thanks very much for that (and all the other positive comments!!)

It’s much appreciated, and the sentiments above are close to my heart too.

Couldn't agree more.

My list is long and distinguished

Singer (duh)
Eagle Low-Drag e-type
E28 5-series with e90 v8
W108 with a benz v12 and pagani-esque exhausts
Pontiac Transam Bandit with indy suspension and an LS
DeLorean with an F360 engine/box
Late 80's CRX with S2000 drivetrain
SAABuru - early 90's Saab 900 with 4wd, EJ22 and a honking big turbo
Mk2 golf gti with r32 engine and permie 4wd
Escort mk2 (doing this already, only one I can afford!)

etc etc

Not that i've thought about it much.Or attempted most of them in Forza Horizon. Oh no.
