Hate these on any car, but especially bad looking on this one.
I agree and I do not understand as the rear of the 5 series (Touring or Saloon), or 3er, 4er are especially beautiful.
NOTE: the funny thing Is that I went to have a look into google images of the rear... and in fact the bumpers/exhausts part is in fact weird ... I am not sure i like the direction it is taking ...

The thing is that I thought they lost their heads when they issued the E63/E64 ... and years after (including now) I think they were way in advance in terms of design.

Ah, the glorious 8 series.

As BMW further and further dilutes it's model niches, it is presumably soon to be seen in 4 door guise. And as a convertible. And a 'gran' hatchback.

That front grill is as hideous as all the other recent ones they've done.

I really want to like it, but no.
Did you feel that same way when the 6 Gran Coupe was launched? Did that dilute its model niches? That's one of BMW highlights in the last 10 yrs IMO.
I agree with you, definitely a recent high point!

I saw my first new 840D this morning on the M42 and it did look very good. Far better than the pics would suggest.

One drove past me this morning, in black, looks a lot smaller than in pictures. I think it’s a stunner!

Standard with BMWs IME, and a lot of cars to a lesser extent.

Usually look better in the flesh.

Of course, still doesn't detract from the automatic New BMW/'Gopping' Rhetoric
