Whilst bored at work earlier I was thinking of random stuff (as you do!), something I was thinking of was; Has there, with the exception of the Capri RS 3.1, ever been a European/British Ford with a petrol engine larger than 3.0?
I know that there are 3.2 Rangers and Transits but they're diesel, there's also the Mustang but whilst now available as right hand drive it's not a British/European Ford IMO.
I can't think of anything?

The GT40 was designed and built in the UK, was it not?

Ford Explorer had a 4.0, and was sold in RHD for the U.K. market, although clearly based upon an American Market vehicle.

If it did, it was never sold with these in Europe. I suspect that it never did though, despite what Wikipedia claims.

The Aston Martin V12... Essentially 2 duratec v6s.
Is the Pilot the only UK/Euro V8 Ford ever made? If so then those might be the only options besides GT40.

There were some prewar German Fords like the Ford Rheinland, with a 3.3L six from the Model B. They also produced the Flathead V8 in Cologne.

I have a vague recollection that the D-series truck (built in UK in the '60s & '70s) was available with a 4.0 petrol, but for export markets only.

I had it for towing and with the old fashioned springs and the smooth auto box it was the best car for towing at the time

It's a shame we can't get the Mondeo with the US Ford Fusion 2.7 Ecoboost engine here in the UK.

No such thing as British Euro Ford I’m afraid. Ford MoCo is a US company, it has other companies across the globe for local production and retail, same as there is a Toyota UK.

We might not know them very well in the UK, but many Ford models have been sold on both sides of the pond and built locally for each market. But a US car maker they remain.

E.g.

US market Escort:

If you want to phrase your question as what UK market Fords have had an engine bigger than 3.0 litre.

Then there was the 4.0 Explorer, the 3.3 Fox Mustang GLX not sure I can think of any others off the top of my head though. Not recent ones, there was the 3.6 V8 Ford Pilot, but that was some time back now.
