There was a picture of a (new shape) green GT knocking around PH a while back that someone snapped in London.... looked gorgeous.

That would be the daily sleg for most if the lottery came up.

Did you know in Italy they keep 20% of your lottery winnings as tax. FYI of course.....

Great engineering and other worldly performance but very vulgar and reeks of new money for me.

Good job I am buying mine with Guineas, Farthings and Groats then !

I think it looks magnificent, a definite improvement and I didnt mind the old one.

I would feel a bit conspicuous driving it though but that says more about me than the car.

March 17 Geneva show , note the upswing on the doors and the slight teardrops of the main front lights .Grill below the rad too .
So they have already in Porsche esq 911 marketing way got who revision program mapped out .
For some reason the show modal looked great then , but now the release modal seems not so nice , can’t put my finger on it .

It's a very pretty car.

10 square meters of wood! That must be a lot of rejected panels, as only a fraction of that is exposed in the cabin.

The rear deck is Porsche speedster look - two seater and carbon hard backed seats .

Porsche are devils with there customers. They bring out a “better “ modal ,or incarnation of the 911 about a month after you drive out of the showroom , then ring you asking if you want an invite to the launch at the dealer .
At some stage attempt to sell you the better Vs .Meanwhile all the jurnos everywhere you read make out your Vs is now old hat ,yesterday’s modal before it’s been back for its first service .
Up to now that VAG com marketing disease has spared Bentley .
Launch 2004 , major revision 2012 .
Ok a few behind the scenes upgrades / year on year improvement,s but nothing that made you feel you had to change to keep up .
Different demo graphics of the buyers I suspect and poroduction volumes .
Porsche probably can meet the marketing demand they artificially create with the 911 .

Good for you. If I was lucky enough to be in your position I would no doubt choose something that others didn't like.

Ha, yeah I kind of see what you mean, they both have an elongated elliptical-ish rear light cluster... The '6 is the better proportioned and resolved car though of course biggrin

The coupe in the flesh is too large and too bling chrome wise .
As said above that wide front grill feels wrong .
I do hope the “ Bentley “ written across the bootblid is a no cost delete option .It looks naff under the wings emblem ,as if the great unwashed Corbyinesters need it rubbing in there faces .
It’s not subtle enough.

When ,I am ready to change I will be looking for a late run out modal of the old shaper updated coupe from 12 onwards .

There obviously will be a bit of pent up new modal demand which I guess will take a couple of years to run down . Footballers , and other folks low in the IQ dept .
Then what ?
Think Ferrari 488 from a 458 .
The folks in the know which ones the more desirable/ better feeling to sit in .

With the Bentley practicle reasons like supermarkets and other tight road manoeuvres make its new elephantine proportions off putting as a daily.I use my Conti as my daily ,it blends in nicely imho .
I'd read your post back then decide who is low in the IQ department.

Er, am joking,

I showed it to the missus last night and she wasnt keen and that was before the whole "selling the house" question biggrin

I do like them, had a go in the older model Supersports model, epic but not sure I would, even if I could, but I can see why people do.

I must be the only person who thinks the looks have gone backwards, distorted proportions, terrible rear lights, overly fussy design... sadly somethings just not right
You're not, I think it looks a bit odd now. The grill proportions aren't right and there is something just not quite "right" about the design overall.

The word "elegant" appears very early in this piece, but it's not a word I would associate with Bentley to be honest.
Me too. I'm not normally one who needs to get use to replacement models, if I like the old one, I usually like the new one, but agree that the grill just looks wrong, rear lights too, just not so much as the grill. Rest of the car is lurvley. Even that red leather everywhere looks great.
Rear lights aren’t very elegant, but still a whole lot better than the predecessor’s ones

Does anyone think they look remotely similar as cars? rofl

I can't imagine anyone confusing the rear of the new CGT with a Mazda MX6!
