Bicester Heritage Sunday Service 06/01

Join us at PH's first Scramble event at the uber cool Bicester Heritage next month!

I know, I know, it's not even 2019 yet... Heck, we haven't even had our last Sunday Service of 2018! But you know us, keen as ever to get back at it - especially so as this lovely little gem of a Sunday Service is on the first weekend of the year. So, please join us in welcoming to the calendar the first PistonHeads Sunday Service at the Bicester Heritage Scramble!

We love a new event here, and as you can imagine we're quite excited about heading to our first Scramble. In fact any visit to the Bicester Heritage Centre is an exciting time; it seems like the perfect hang out for us PHers, with planes, cars and other cool stuff at its core. We'll mainly be focussing on the car side of things on this visit, though, with hundreds of classic cars on display around the base. There'll be hangars, showrooms and workshops all open to wander through and ogle, learn, or simply warm up with a nice hot drink (early January isn't renowned for a temperate climate, that's for sure).

If you do fancy jumping ship (well, plane) to a vehicle of the winged variety, then there are Tiger Moth experiences available to book here. Flying through the British countryside on a crisp clear winter's day? Yes please.

We'll have our own dedicated parking area with space for 250 cars, we've also managed to bag the discounted "Classic Vehicle (Pre - 1990)" price for everyone, which is £5pp plus booking fees, available here to the first 500 tickets bought with code "PHJA19". You won't be able to attend if you have not bought a ticket.

There will be a cut off date for discounted tickets on January 1st 2019, if you buy after that you will have to pay the full £8. Tickets are available on the door, too, however they too won't be discounted. So get yourself signed up here and buy your tickets to ensure your place on this very special Sunday Service!

Date: Sunday January 6th, 2019
Cost: £5pp (plus booking fees) bought with code "PHJA19" for the first 500 tickets.
Time: 0900-1400h-ish
Space: 250 cars

Address:
Bicester Heritage,
Buckingham Road,
Bicester
Oxfordshire
OX26 5HA

Damm I already have our tickets. Will you be doing a register for attending cars or will it be first come first served for spaces in the PH area?

Yep, I've purchased the required entry tickets and fo8nd mu way to the PH on the forum. It should be good as I've only ever been midweek once before.

I'm going along with family. I booked one PH ticket, and one pre 1990 car ticket, so not sure where I'll end up parking.

Do you need to buy a ticket for the car and a ticket for the driver also or just does one ticket allow one person and their car in?

for 500 cars the parking area will be on the grass so probably lots of space

As per the BMW event, never done this before either!

Is there any formation to this or is it just turn up with ticket & park where you get directed to?

It'll be a good one! Jack will be sending out instructions tomorrow on where to go, so keep an eye on your inbox.

Gutted. Where are you based? If you're local someone may be able to swing by and pick you up en route!

Drop me a PM with your vehicle details I'll take a look!

Unfortunately I've done my back in and driving is extremely painful, I can't push the clutch pedal in without swearing profusely frown So, I'm going to have to withdraw my name from the list.

AWLP16 (Adam P), you're in! Have a great day smile

Isn't that the norm for a stiff clutch on a Clio 182? hehe Sorry to hear that, hope you make a speedy recovery.
