I find it a bit tacky.....
It's because it is a bit.. The whole Senna thing is pretty tacky to be honest. I know society is a bit tacky right now, but class will return(!?), and I worry a little for McLaren - I keep thinking they need to keep an eye on their image... It's a bit...YouTube, and inner city poseur right now. Liked the P1 though, and still like the early 12C's - there's something classless about both, I like it.
Might be a bit much on the highstreet though.
All supercar brands are at the mercy of the paying customer when it comes to special commissions.
They might not be to your taste but it’s their money and no car company would turn down the relatively easy money that follows.
Perhaps you should commission your own ‘tasteful’ creation to redress the balance?
800 hours to paint - erm - fk off...
It's a Senna non-Senna - it's also a bit tacky and a bit cash-in-y - like painting your Ferrari to look like a Schumacher car which it isn't.
We're fast reaching a point with Mclaren where they are making diamond-encrusted silver Marmite lids - no-one needs one - plastics does the job just fine - you just buy one because you have more money than sense.
800 hours to paint a car tho - maybe employ some people who are good at painting cars eh?

Err ... yeh mate ... it took me 800 hours to replace the oil filter on your Sierra so that'll be £80,000.00 - cash if you please
I reckon the 800 hours claim has been invented to explain the extortionate cost.
Not quite the same though is it.I reckon the 800 hours claim has been invented to explain the extortionate cost.
800 hours does sound a lot but what does it include?
I have no idea, but then I have never had to strip the paint from a carbon bodied race car, prep and then paint a complicated colour scheme for a very demanding rich fella.
Still, the cost shouldn’t bother you as we’ve seen your bank balance (well one of them)
Like it. Wouldn't have it though. Race liveries should be on race cars.
Do wonder how much extra power though. Lanzante went 4.0 for the P1LM. No mention of that here
I wonder if McLaren will EVER release proper numbers for their cars
"Dry weight"
"of course we beat the lap record"
“suitably pleasing increase in power"
"800 hours"

You think? It's comforting to know that the very wealthy are so easily relieved of their cash!Happy you’re comforted

Not sure what warrants 5 question marks. If some numpty believes it takes your vegazzaling department 800 hours to paint his car then you can releive them of enough money to employ a couple of people for a year. Everyone's happy.
Odd thing to say.Probably deserves another 5 question marks.
I was agreeing with you that 800 hours does indeed sound a lot.
I simply added that we don’t know what was involved in the process for that specific car.
I certainly don’t.
Do you?
As for ‘my department’, again, wrong I’m afraid.
