Silver Vauxhall Vectras.

Fortunately not seem so often these days, but during the 90’s and 00’s these were regularly seen being driven aggressively round smalltown Britain by absolute throbbers with massive chips on their shoulders.

Oh god not this again.

Pushy BMW drivers. Audi drivers never indicate. Pensioners in Jazzes doing 35mph everywhere. Bikers with a death wish. Councilista piloted death trap Zafiras. Leased German metal in default white.

And airline food - what’s the deal wih that, amirite?

For my sins I teach people to drive.

I see my fair share of absolute ttish driving, but what is it with BMW, Audi and Merc drivers ? Do their brains fall out the minute they buy them ?

If somebody is going to act like a complete prick you can pretty much guarantee it's going to be in one of those turd mobiles. So much so all my pupils know which cars to wary of when being approached or approaching. There's no need to tell pupil, you just need to ask what car that was when the driver acts like a complete tt...they soon learn by themselves.

I used to find it quite amusing to start with, now its just become tedious and predictable

Bought and driven by dheads fullstop.

Well I've currently got BMW numbers 5 and 6, so my brain must have fallen out long ago! laugh

But at least I did have a brain, unlike most of your pupils who don't seem to know what one of those is! (The pass rate is p*ss poor these days - I passed my 1st test 8 weeks after I got a provisional licence).

So please start by teaching them lane discipline, because in the UK it's f*cking appalling.

To be fair though the cars you have issues with probably haven't been bought, they are just rented. laugh

Rant over, dhead signing off! laugh

So you are encouraging others to be as ignorant and narrow minded as you are? Shocking that you are in a position to teach others.

It's this kind of idiotic crap that is the reason threads like this are not a good idea

You cannot say anything and defend as that’s your real world experience - to say all the drivers of 3 main stream brands are dheads full stop I think is why people were pushing back on his views

In SW London at least, most Priuses because they're driven by Uber drivers either looking for their pick up or lost or playing with their phones.

They say practice makes perfect. Uber suggests otherwise.

Eh? Going to have to explain that one I'm afraid. Do people actually go and put the rear headrests down when there is no one in the back? Never heard of anyone doing that.

Remind me not to let anyone I know let you 'teach' them how to drive......
Yeah that's told him.

Some paper-thin egos on display here.

Sticks and stones people.... .hehe

I'll vote for any medium size white soft-roader. Always flashes when overtaken, always bunches up, always dawdles, always fog lights, fairly often a Ford.

Loving the:
"I see my fair share of absolute ttish driving, but what is it with BMW, Audi and Merc drivers? Do their brains fall out the minute they buy them?"

Followed by:
[ttish replies from (I imagine) BMW, Audi or Merc drivers claiming the above observation is nonsense].

My vote goes for Volvo V90 drivers - always driven stupidly fast and they tend to undertake me when I'm in the middle lane doing 70mph.

Why are you in the middle lane, if lane 1 is free?

Mike is well know for it.

You should read his comments if anyone suggests they don't rate RWD cars at the top of their list.

I don't normally agree with driving stereotypes but.
Whenever i am stuck behind a slow old person it is always a Honda Jazz, seemingly without fail....

Do OAP's get a special deal on Honda Jazz or something?

The bulk of my driving is on the motorway so see less of the slow doddery drivers and more of the, sit up your ar$se, change lanes constantly types.

I'll be honest, despite being a Merc owner I will openly admit that it's the likes of the smaller engined Merc, BMWs and Audis that I notice driving more aggressibely on motorways.

Noticed this a handful of times last night on the M4/M25. Car comes steaming up in lane three, sits on the rear bumper of the car in front. Oh it's a BMW 420 or an E220 CDI. Oh and small city cars, Toyota Aygo or C1s refusing to move aside to let cars past or being hammered along at 80mph.

Small car, so oldies feel frugal, and feels solid and a bit like a bigger car to drive, so feels relatively safe. Also easy to drive, and easy to exceed a thirty limit in (according to my mum, who may be breaking the stereotype here smile).

Controllable power delivery.

Or at least that's what I assume, having heard my elderly father-in-law describe a Honda Civic Diesel as "dangerously overpowered".

They will do 100 with a bit of a hill and a decent tailwind biggrin

At 80 mph they are surprisingly quite happy, just takes a couple of counties to get back up to speed of you lose it though.
