RE: Updated 7 Series gets new 530hp V8

Well this certainly has an imposing look. The grille is of course exaggerated in size, not exactly pretty but I don't actually mind it on a car like this, it should make a bit of a statement and shouldn't be shy and retiring. I like the interior and the quilted leather, again somewhat brash but then why wouldn't it be?

It's the walnut picnic tables that I like.st4 said:
They're nicely overstyled - this is just ugly. I would buy the LS over this.
So would I - the new LS is phenomenal but the engine range is very restricted. I have the older LS460 and it is a totally amazing car. However the new one, which is a brilliant car, only comes as a 3.5 hybrid. Faced with the prospect of a vile diesel - I would pick the LS500h. BMW are offering a much more comprehensive range including a V8 and V12. If I was in the market for a new luxury car I'd be taking the LS500h (I have another sporty car for proper driving - this is for mile munching) but that V8 or V12 sure is tempting. Lexus need to up their game and offer more engines in their LS range in order to shift more cars.

Oh I missed those, do you mean the sort that fold down from the back of the front chairs? I had a previous XJ40 with picnic tables. Where else indeed is one expected to place the single malt decanter if not thus? Not the best picture I'm afraid:

This (as tested by PH this week) is a lot easier on the eye than the chrome grille shown previously:
I saw my first one in the flesh so to speak, on Wednesday driving through Deddington, it looked great in Donnington grey with the Mpsort black trim. Burwood said:

If the grill is so offensive to some, simply get it painted (m5 Competition style). Problem solved.LexyLex said:

Does the average LS buyer really care too much what is under the bonnet as long as they can't hear or feel it?
Oh yes. And Stateside these are much more popular. LexyLex said:
