The Halfords plates will look better anyway, very discreet logo, great number BTW

I have ran an altered plate before and come MOT I simply placed the legal plates in the boot and the tester always passed the car.

I'm also of the opinion it would look great in it's legal spacing formatyes

My mum does the same. Although last year the garage insisted they stuck the legal plates over the top of the others for the test! Otherwise not had much bother as ‘only’ one character is mis-spaced (RO51E) She was bought the plate as a present rolleyes

Definition of a crappy plate is altered lettering using bolts, seriously mispaced letters or numbers or dubious font that ANPR coujd notvread. None of those present here.
Wrong.

A crappy plate is one which has been butchered as is clearly the case here by way of incorrect and illegal spacing for vanity reasons.

A crappy plate is also one where the intention is to spell a word with a number as is the case here. Again for vanity reasons.

So crappy it most definitely is.

I assume it is RO51 E?? With the last two letters moved.

As for Infinity making the plate incorrectly, up until about 2 years ago our company plate making machine did not automatically put the correct spaces in but all are double checked internally before they are fitted to cars as they carry the relevant markings plus our postcode.

I remember seeing lots of normal issue plates without spaces from the local Mercedes garage for a while so I assume they used the same system.

I think Mr Soloman has purchased wisley and as long as displayed correctly "SO10 MON" will certainly only increase in value as many many past DVLA auction plates have proven time and time again just as I have been offered several times more for my number on more than one occasion,I just look at it as a bit of fun but an appreciating asset with absolutely no maintenance costs.....yes

Nothing says nob more to me than someone who says someone with a misplaced number plate is a nob.

Honestly listen to yourselves, who actually gives a st, its clearly readable and its not like its written in some st italic writing with his surname, address, and sexual tastes written in little letters beneath.

I think what people are getting at is that the plate would read exactly the same if it was spaced legally.

Could an MOT tester fail the car because of the plate? Possibly. Is it worth the hassle for the sake of it being illegally spaced, when it would read exactly the same if legal? Not in my opinion.
