V12 Ferrari's are not about lap times, they have different cars for that.
These are GT cars and all about that V12, and as nice as a Lexus LFA engine is and sounds, it will always be two crucial cilinders short of the ultimate layout.
Not a Ferrari fan, but the gearbox on this is different league to the LFA's as well.

Having said that, Superfast is still a misnomer for this car, especially since the old F12 was only 5 secs slower than the 812 and that was with von Saurma driving, who is probably giving 10 seconds away to Gebhardt.

In the end I couldn't care less that something like a new Corvette goes quicker around the Ring if I had a car that sounded like this.

Alfa Romeo use Veloce in their range and Lamborghini sort of use Super Veloce on their SV /SVJ cars.
I knew about AR but forgot about Lamborghini! Makes sense.

Impressive driving but makes the 7:32 lap of the Alfa Romeo Giulia QF with 510 bhp stand out even more as exceptionally fast

Agreed.
I'd also add the 2009 Nissan GT-R 7.26, 480bhp and £52k list price 10 years ago.
