WTF? They've only just launched this, customers don't yet have their cars, not been road tested by the magazines yet and they are already doing a tweaked version?

Why? Anyone who wants one is already gagging to get their hands on one, and adding a few carbon bits won't make any difference to already sky-high demand (although might upset some folks who wanted the exclusive first editions?)

Surely better to let the initial hype roll on for a few more months, get the press / road tests etc and when interest is flagging THEN you do some carbon fibre tweaks and nice rims to get yourselves back on the front page of the magazines/ web site?

Or am i missing something?
Just one thing your missing, if Toyota release a picture that’s a 5 year teaser for something that’ll look completely different in 5 years.

I joke of course, maybe.

Will they get 1000+ BHP out of it though?
Closed deck design block with forged internals. Might not be good for 1k but I'm sure it'll manage 650 ish...?
The BMW engine in that car is superb and massively tunable (possible not the same extent as the original) but 600-700bhp is easy to achieve.

I assume the 'turdy' bit is the BMW DNA inside, and that will never be polished out.Makes an exciting car dull.
Looks wise, it is a bit challenging but all the better for it IMO. Isnt trying to please the style above substance brigade.
I suspect that the bmw drivetrain is the best part of the whole project. But yeah, turdy. rolleyes

I know everyone is entitled to an opinion, but to me that looks worse than the factory efforts. I like cars that sit right and ride low but to lower to the point where its not actually possible to function as a vehicle sort of misses the point in a performance car IMO.

From the initial prototype reviews the way it drives is something special and to me thats what matters the most. Lets see

It needs to look aggressive, granted.

But it needs to look like 1,000bhp more than anything else.
