Light updates and other tweaks do a good job, if only they'd left the grilles alone

I'm sure in the target market that will still be considered a bit on the small side.

How can anyone honestly think that is a good piece of design, it's shocking.

Fair enough if you buy it to prove you're a big man, but it's not nice, not nice at all!

The current B5 is already AWD only.

Really, even RHD ones?

I wonder if the early order for the new B7 Alpina is from the person who owns the previous generation one?
No. We've got a diesel S class and fancied something a bit outrageous before the inevitable hybrid. So it's the next 3yrs smoking around a b7 for me.....sweeeeeeet!

I'd say that the LCI models will probably look like that anyway with the way things are going! biggrin

Did the switch to AWD have a bearing on your decision or was it just a coincidence and a matter of timing?

What colour/spec did you go for?

Well you are a very lucky person to have a B7. May I be nosey and ask what colour it is and if you have the Aplina graphics on the outside?

No graphics. Still arguing over colours. I fancy carbon black, the man who's paying is leaning towards Singapore grey probably with blue leather. suggestions people?
It is going to have to be slightly low key so alpina green with full gold logos is a no no unfortunately. 😂

I’m a fan of Alpina’s but I feel like they’ve got it wrong with those wheels, I much prefer the previous generation style that had a centercap covering the nuts.
I disagree, the centercap ones were really getting old and I since long wondered when they would freshen up the style, really like how that looks now.

And while that grill(e) looks hideous on the regular 7, I think it works better for this one....

It's got a face only a mother could like, I don't understand how BMW let something like that escape out of the drawing board let alone make it to the roads.

People blame the Chinese market for the grill but do they even like it?

Ignoring the grille but I am unsure why someone would go for this over a 760i. The V12 just seems the right fit for a high powered one of these.

Lovely car though and preferable to any diesel.

Fair point. It's a stunning stunning car no doubt and maybe for those who prefer a V8 to a V12 but me myself would probably chose the V12 car.

I'd quite like Alpina to have turned the wick up on the V12 motor. I'm sure from 6.6 litres in it's current state of tune there is plenty more to be had from it.
