I wonder if the early order for the new B7 Alpina is from the person who owns the previous generation one?
No. We've got a diesel S class and fancied something a bit outrageous before the inevitable hybrid. So it's the next 3yrs smoking around a b7 for me.....sweeeeeeet!Alpinachauffeur said:

Did the switch to AWD have a bearing on your decision or was it just a coincidence and a matter of timing? What colour/spec did you go for?

I’m a fan of Alpina’s but I feel like they’ve got it wrong with those wheels, I much prefer the previous generation style that had a centercap covering the nuts.
I disagree, the centercap ones were really getting old and I since long wondered when they would freshen up the style, really like how that looks now. And while that grill(e) looks hideous on the regular 7, I think it works better for this one....

Exclusivity.
Fair point. It's a stunning stunning car no doubt and maybe for those who prefer a V8 to a V12 but me myself would probably chose the V12 car. I'd quite like Alpina to have turned the wick up on the V12 motor. I'm sure from 6.6 litres in it's current state of tune there is plenty more to be had from it.
