I was reading through it thinking, wait for it, wait for it, ridiculous £300k price tag ahead, then £97k + etc. That almost sounds reasonable.

What's a top spec Radical cost these days?

And 560bhp from 2l clap
Honda engines are amazing. Reliable and massively powerful once well modified. This looks incredible and kudos to anyone who buys one.

I like it.

The noise level is bound to break the rules for most UK trackdays, but perhaps that’s not the case in the USA and elsewhere.

With reference to the suggestion that a single seater formula race would be a better alternative; are there not generally rules about running open wheeled cars on trackdays? Again, I don’t know the rules in it’s home market.

Edit: I’m amazed how relatively inexpensive this is. This puts it directly against the Mono, the RP1, and even the top-spec Lotus 3-11

Kudos maybe...until the owners have to buy a raft of parts from an on-track bump and find the company's phone disconnected and the business assets, parts and tooling blown to the wind.

I think you mean 'with a free rein'. 'With a free reign' doesn't make sense.

Fantastic looking car. I don't normally pay much attention to these single seaters but that looks so delicate yet purposeful.

If it is road legal then happy days but the figures for the car if it is track only aren't that outlandish. a prototype from the early 2000s with a turbo 1500cc engine can do 1200BHP per tonne and bought 2nd hand for half that asking price.

Looks like a great car but what an awful name for a car company.
Agreed. Perhaps Pict and Visigoth were in the running and this seemed the best of a bad bunch.

Know a few guys in the s2000 club that are in that horsepower ballpark.

Mine was only ~375hp .. supercharged. Did spin up to 9100/9200 rpm though.

But I'd not say "reliable" ..

Think the K20 is better for mid engine car though v the F20, just due to gearbox layout.

Isn't the Valkyrie a road car? In which case, not strictly competitors? I wouldn't say "poor man's", either, isn't the production of the Valkyrie quite limited, in which case, even if you had enough money, you may not be able to get one?

I mean it’s a reason why you might buy something like this instead of an old F3 car. It’s often suggested that an old race car is an alternative to a brand new trackday special. It probably doesn’t matter if your doing test days, but it does if you want to do a normal trackday.

Trackday eligible and would wipe the floor with any road based car.
