I wholeheartedly agree. That’s why I’m writing this from Oslo having driven here in the M5.
Good trip? We seriously thought about it years ago for a VW show, it's quite a long way to go with a close ratio 4 speed gearbox though laugh

Yep, has been great so far. Still got another 400 miles or so to head north yet to get to the point of the trip - Faviken - before turning round and heading back.

Went to the Out East Porsche Club meet this morning in east London. Nice to see a few 356 not wrapped up for winter yet. There was a lovely 993 Turbo S out as well, that didnt help my want for a 993!

Re that alpina, it’s was owned by one lady from new she always serviced it at Sytner and it only has 35k miles. She’s now too old to drive so sold it to them.

Do still miss my old 3.8 E34, although maybe not the associated bills. This one looks to tick quite a few of the right boxes: https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1175681

Gets me all misty-eyed thinking about the forum etc. Missing some of the old posters in particular.
Was an interesting podcast..having been here years I remember the Dovic times well..took me in. Though as I remember it, was it Fish who outed him ?

I can't remember. I'd have to ask one of the old guard. Someone like Plotloss would know chapter and verse.
