Yeah me too, the Midget-based Spider. But only because I'd forgotten what they look like...

Always find myself having a cheeky look at these... I'd look ridiculous but I'm sure I'd love it!

Well I was joking a bit but truthfully I didn't know what that was and had never heard of or maybe never knowingly seen an 850 spider.

Rubber bumper models are damn ugly. I'm far from an MG fan, but an earlier Midget is a far prettier thing.

Do the tweedy tweaks include wearing a welding mask when you approach the car so you cant see the bumpers? Midgets can look good without bumpers, I have no idea what the sheet metal is like behind behind them though

nono There's not enough tweedy tweaks in the universe to make rubber bumpers look even close to OK.

Stick to chrome.

yes sorry Loon. I agree with you on many many car things. But rubber numbered MGs aren’t good. I had one too - but only as I couldn’t afford a “proper” one!!!

'In August 2011 we had the engine re-built featuring an Abarth / Middle Barton Garage specification fast-road cam-shaft, Abarth specification sports exhaust, electronic ignition, Dellorto DHLB32 side-draft carburettor, and an Abarth specification aluminium oil sump. All parts supplied by Middle Barton Garage. These works were followed by a rolling road tune by Mech Motorsport in Cheltenham in September 2011 when the engine showed to have 28bhp at 5,640 rpm and 29 lbft of torque at 3,200 rpm.'

True, but I was referring to the rubber bumpered Midgets smile

Or as I like to call them, the connoisseurs choice wink
