Looks like Tesla tried desperate cost cutting before announcing store closures.

So I've read the article, and I'm struggling to find where this move was "desperate."

Sounds like sensible sales management to me. If the data then supports the idea that all those "closers" are writing orders that would happen online, all the more reason to get rid of them!

And, yes, I've run many sales teams.

Tesla will win over those that thinks it will fail. Musk is the ultimate entrepreneur and has other businesses which could support financially if required.

Tesla has already done its job by forcing the rest of the car industry to manufacture EV's. If Tesla was not where it is today we would not be seeing the push in EV technology. The adoption rate has been slow but the OEM's of ICE cars do not want their entire market strategy to be wiped out overnight..

For those that have not watched it, here is a great explanation of the future mass adoption of Electric Cars. The change is real.

Tesla did the rest of the industry a huge favour by blazing the trail. The big boys are now sweeping in and will eat their lunch.
