RE: Cyan unveils 528hp 'road car' version of WTCC car
Discussion
I know it's inevitable these day but I really do feel like I see a lot of other cars in there, from Panamera to 206, Mustang, XE, to name a few. But it seems like more of a copy/paste job than other cars which merely 'borrow' or hint at previous designs,
Personally I think it's gopping and bizarre. Could be great though so who knows.

Over 500 in a FWD road car= recipe for disaster.
The only way to get that power down is with a well sorted locking diff and wide front slicks
Limited Slip DifferentialThe only way to get that power down is with a well sorted locking diff and wide front slicks
285 section tyres in front
(obviously of a very sporting type, Cup 2? or similar).
Engine stats also give a hint:
"peak horsepower at 7,800rpm and outputs 372lb ft of torque at 4,500-7,000rpm"
Meaning power development is very linear with no big whacks of torque (=hard to control power surge) braking traction coming in at low revs.
Last not but least, in the lowest gears, one can limit torque and thus power a bit. Like Ferrari, Saab etc do/did.
Obviously this is a on the edge application°, but from the above it sounds like an entirely driveable application and potentially a very good one, as they have loads of experience with the race cars.
° it won't put power down in the rain, but neither does any supercar so that ain't an issue if it's not pretending to be a wrc car...
PS: Mine is 380hp FWD on mere 225 section PSS, no disaster at all, very enjoyable.
