So much respect for Christian Von Koenigsegg as an engineer, visionary and businessman, very impressive legacy, a true disruptor

Side comment watched the vid and love how young and unshaven the lead team people are!

Love the car, for me the wing is too big for me for my commute to work but at 270+ need to be that big, and the work ethos of the company. Shame the tech wont come down to us normal cars other than the valve tech but I hope that does work but have my doubts.

I remember when the honda civics started having that wing accross the back window... it caused outrage..."How can you park that"...

Forget the civic, how do you park this one! bet it doesn't even have parking sensors!

What an awesome piece of engineering.

Bonkers wing! I like the way they call it the baby Agera RS but it smashes it in certain figures.

Interested to know what the 2 sections here are for, my mind wants to say mounting points for an even crazier fixed wing on their hardcore version of this thing, but woven into the overall design. but really they'll probably be fore heat dissipation/cooling
That's clearly a bike rack mounting biggrin

Got to love these guys.
of course! rofl although that rear wing struts look ideal for a roofbox mounting point

What tyres are certified for 300 mph?
I believe Michelin have said they make a Cup 2 that can hit 300 according to John Hennessey. Whether it would last is another matter!

On the last koenigsegg run they used a Cup 2 and that was fine at 280.
In the case of the Veyron, I think the company said that at maximum speed the fuel tank ran dry (in 8 minutes?) before the tyres exploded. I imagine a similar safety system applies to the Jesko...

9 speed gearbox? I thought Koenigsseg were focusing on what amounted to a highly-developed torque converter with fixed ratio. Or was that just to show it could be done?
In the launch, CvK said that the focus of the Jesko is to be a lot more track-orientated than the Regera.

And also that the gears that were left over from building the Regera were put into the Jesko laugh

What a motor - love what these guys do. It's always so exciting and just interesting compared to everything else out there.

I've popped into this thread at least ten times to far, haven't even looked at the Aston one, even though it's underneath it on the front page! Couldn't even tell you the name of their car.

watch the video posted on the first page with Schmee, parking sensors and cameras with birds eye view. The rear wing is stupidly cool on this car.

A nine speed, six clutch gearbox that weighs 90 kg!

20” and 21” wheels weighing c6 / 7 kg!

That wing must be to stop the damn car floating away.

Truly unique and groundbreaking tech built by a company run by a bloke that’s impossible not to like and named after his dad that he honoured so beautifully and touchingly in the reveal video.

Oh and it’s got 1600bhp and goes 300mph.

You’d have to be a bit broken to not think was all very cool.
