As has been said, everyone has a different interpretation of what a GT is. The one consensus seems to be long distance capability, comfort, speed, room for luggage. It doesn't matter where the engine is. If McLaren can build something to meet these requirements that will sell well then I am happy for it to exist smile

I have a 570GT and trust me, its a great GT car. I've done over 900 miles in a day with no aches, it does over 33mpg at 85mph (continental cruise speed), it goes like stink when needed, it is super comfy. I love it.

And? So was the 330 and earlier iterations of the 365 before it. What’s more it was a 2+2 with bugger all headroom in the back and sod all legroom.
Any notions it could carry 4 ppl anywhere other than to the nearest Osteopathy clinic is stretching a point thinner than an anorexic chicken.
I say that entirely as someone who who has long harboured a love for the unfashionable 4 seat Donkeys and can’t believe he didn’t buy any of the 330 or 365s that were available when in the £30ks region frown
I've found that GT's which have 2+2 arrangement to be most suited for proper European touring. When doing under 300 miles per day I've never had any complaints from petite passengers in the rear. When only 2-up, the rears make great extra luggage space and the longer wheelbase usually make for great handling.

The 330 series was more a luxury cruiser which never appealed to me personally but a lovely car nonetheless.
