With those tight rod bearing clearances and consequently lubrication issues you may want to give Ceratec a go. I can't praise the stuff highly enough - have it in all my cars (non M sadly). It is especially useful at cold starts when most wear takes place. In my experience all my cars rev better with less effort and there is a noticeable reduction in engine breaking due to lower internal friction.
After having experienced that I added it into the quite noisy and notchy manual gearbox of my 01 BMW 525i - the noise at idle had become so annoying I was looking at swapping it for another one so nothing to lose... Now (for the past two years since having added it) near silent and notchines disappeared altogether. I enjoy driving the car so much more just because the gear changes are such a pleasure - I downshift much more often than I used to. Here I added it to the tune of 8% instead of the usual 6% of the filling capacity - as I was trying to address an existing bearing issue.
I also have it in the rear diff for longevity reasons - but it should NOT go into an M car's limited slip diff as it will turn it into a regular limitless slip diff. Same with automatic transmissions - they require friction in order to change gears so you do not want Ceratec in there.
I trust you will do your research first - just wanted to share my enthusiasm. And no I have no business association with Liqui Moly whatsoever.

Had a Silverstone Blue coupe a few years ago, unfortunately it ate front disks and pads despite going through the correct bedding in procedure so i hit the panic button and sold it. That engine was outstanding, my mate had an XFR at the time and the sound of the 2 cars was awesome. Can I have your man maths revision guide please, a Yeti to M3 sounds like an A**
The E90 M3, the one car I genuinely wish I could have kept and still miss some 5 1/2 years after I sold mine.
I’ve had 2 E46s (one right after the E90) and they are not a patch on the E9x imo from a drivers point of view.
The OP had a similar spec wish list to me, except I wanted DCT and wouldn’t compromise on the heated seats, many pre LCI E90s bizarrely were specced without the bum warmers. I eventually chose a 2011 LCI car in Melbourne red with platinum leather (I later learnt that it was a 1 of 1 saloon in that colour combo)
Personally the E90 is a far better looking car than it’s E92 counterpart, the rear quarter flanks on the saloon just give it a more menacing stance imo
I would love to have another but I sadly can not afford not justify one at the moment
Here’s my old one

Completely disagree but respect your opinion. The e90s for me was just a lack lustre m5 short of two cylinders.. It’s to big to be an m3 feals really heavy !! It’s Still a lovely car but the E46 is by far the better car from driving prospective. In my experience depends on mileage and care taken to the engine all my cars are sub 40k two of wich I rebuilt myself the v8 is lovely but I much prefer the V10 in the M5. There all in my garage currently as I don’t like selling much to the wife’s dismay !
