Speaking of Alfa Romeos. Why on earth do they insist in still making the Giulietta? It looks so dated and I don't recall one ever being praised.
It's been a good seller for Alfa, even though it has only been slightly facelifted a couple of times, that's why.

I can't comment on your impaired vision, you should see an optician about that. You should go drive one, instead of just basing your opinion on reviews.

By the way, here's the original Evo review, they're not exactly slating it: https://www.evo.co.uk/reviews/6826/alfa-romeo-giul...

It feels much faster than it should, very sharp throttle map, short gearing and overboost makes it feel really quick at lower speeds.

Over 40mph it feels much less lively, but still not exactly slow.

As a first car for my eighteen year old its pretty nippy and compared to my first car, a 1256cc Chevette, it’s a little rocket ship!
What do you think I’m comparing it to, an M3?

Stick a “Grandson’s looking for a car” thread in the Car Buying forum and mention he is considering a MiTo and you’ll probably get some suggestions, along with alternatives.

wink

Thank you for the replies, I should have read the rules as I had a feeling it might be against them.
Going to look at one on Thursday. I've looked at the adds but just thought someone might have one and not advertised it yet.
Would prefer private.

I’d recommend joining the Mito register on Facebook. A friendly and extremely knowledgable group. They’ll give you all the information you need about Mitos.

I ran a Mito for 12 months it was a diesel and I loved it. My mileage due to COVID group by 75% and I sold the car to replace it with an unloved Giulietta Cloverleaf which I’m gradually sorting out.

I’m sure it will be a great car for your grandson. I bought an approved used one from an Alfa Main Dealer in 2015 for the wife.

When it came to be replaced, I didn’t want to part with it and we now have 3 cars. It’s been totally reliable and is just a great all round little car that feels well put together with extremely low running costs.

Whilst Punto’s are great cars, my son had one of a similar vintage to the Alfa. The Alfa was superior in every way.

Good riddance to the Mito, I'd say, Have you ever ridden in one? Rock hard suspension and uncomfortable seats ... It's not for me.

Pretty my experience with the MiTo QF. And I loved the 4C.

Thank you and apologies for posting in the wrong place. I have bought a Mito to be collected next week.
Its quite high mileage at 80K but in pretty good condition. Looking forward to picking it up.
Grandson might get to drive it occasionally.
