I'd be interested to know how long that piece of angle holding it onto the lower shocker mount will last, given that it's having reciprocating loads applied across its axis, flexing it back and forth every time you go over a bump.
Fair point, but they've been around for a long time now and I've never seen a report on the forums of one failing. Doesn't mean it hasn't happened of course but.......

I'm 6ft 4 with very long legs and have always wanted a Clio 182. Is anybody out there as tall as me and fits in a Clio with no problems?

Love the car by the way!
I’m 6’7” (2.0m), have a 40” inside leg and owned a 182 Trophy for 2 years and currently own a 172 Cup. Had/have bags of room in both, more in the Cup as it has the original rubbish seats, whereas the Recaro Trendlines in the Trophy don’t go back as far.

My last car was a Lotus Elan Sprint though so I guess I don’t mind driving with my knees, but the Clio has more legroom than loads of big saloons I’ve driven and my wife’s XC60, which is nuts really.

I'm also 6'7" and own a 172 Cup. It's fine.

How do the 2 compare in your opinion? It always surprises me how the Trophy prices have increased so much much while the Cup has stagnated.

Looks great fun Sam.

Ignore comments about apex’s - they’ve obviously never driven a soggy Donny.
The planes taking off next door dripping fuel on the track as they take off makes the surface one of the slippiest in the country when wet.

I’ll be racing my 172 Cup there next month - can’t wait.
Just need to fit my rear ARB first...
