RE: Noble M600: Spotted
Discussion
Agree with comments above on price. It really is niche and appealing to a very small group of enthusiasts who can afford it or super rich collectors who would simply buy a new one anyway. Noble need to get the M500 out there as soon as they can. Hopefully that will drop into the affordability range of far more people although I would assume it will be a six figure sell initially so most of us may have to wait until the first few drop into the secondhand market.
Did these really not have ABS? I'm surprised you'd be allowed to IVA a one off car without ABS, let alone a something you were selling to the public.
Does Noble still exist in anything other than name? Cant imagine they've sold any in the last 5 or 6 years. How many staff do they employ?

Looks like a kit car
There's always one...To be clear, I'm not saying it is - I know it isn't - but merely that to my eyes, it does kinda look like...
Wouldn't necessarily stop me from having one though!

I'v never seen, let alone driven one, but I've always been intrigued by them. What a machine.
I've always felt the same and I love that it has daft power yet still has a three pedal manual gearbox/RWD. Every other manufacturer would go the two pedal route with that much power...I applaud Noble for making it with a manual gearbox. The author of this article and most of the positive commenters have concentrated on this car's manual box, but the car is now available new with two pedals (I assume a single-clutch sequential manual), and the new M500 is being touted as a Ford V6-powered (a-la M12) dual-clutch sequential manual.
So pretty soon their USP is gone and then they're really up against McLaren and Ferrari

These cars are for the few, not the many. Very much like a Bristol or possibly a Morgan. If you have the money and want one you will buy it. If you want something mainstream you will go elsewhere. I don't compare these to Ferrari or McLaren, this is closer to a Lamborghini as it has real character and some unusual foibles and will scare you to death at speeds if you are not at the top of your game. The sound alone is worth the money and is less expensive to run than a McLaren.
I quite like the exterior as it is quite clean while a lot of cars nowadays look quite overstyled to me. The interior is not to my taste judging from pics, but would need to see in real life to get a better feel for it.
Unfortunately they are too expensive for me (even used) to have as a 4th car, at c. 100k I would have to think about it quite hard though and probably drive one.

Proper car that.
V10 R8 up to 2015 had a manual gearbox, similar power (if not weight) and is also NASP not turbo.

The truth is that there is zero correlation between people on here who lust for them and people in the real world who would actually put their hand in their pocket for one.
I've always had a soft spot for the cheaper M12 version, came close to buying one a few times when they were around the 20-25k mark. Hardly any around now, prices seem to range from 30-50k. Certainly a marmite car, but I loved the looks even with the (I think) mondeo lights.
Agree with the majority though, as much as I appreciate the Noble brand, if I had that kind of money to burn it wouldn't be on a M600.

For that money I'd rather commission some old bloke in a shed to scratch build me something. It'll wind up looking better too.
Not that I am in any way comparing Ultima with "some old bloke in a shed" but I wonder what you'd end up with if you went to Ultima with a budget of 165 grand? Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
