RE: New, faster Porsche Cayenne Coupe revealed
Discussion
Yay! A worse car for more money!
God I hate the automotive landscape these days. Aston Martin starts making stupid duck faced nonsense, Porsche brings out another ugly truck, BMW and Toyota are busy seeing who can make the Supra/Z4 twins look worse (Toyota winning). When will it end?
I know styling is subjective, but when was the last time you saw a car so beautiful it made your jaw drop? Ah hell, when was the last time you saw one that was at least tasteful and handsome?
Oops, looks like I’ve put my grumpy trousers on today. But still, Stuttgart - **** you for yet another abomination.

What does this give you over a regular Cayenne, other than more compromises?
A nominal performance advantage on paper that isn't going to be noticed from the drivers seat. The Mk1 Cayenne looked plain awkward, the current version was way better imho.
This "not-a-coupe" coupe has gone back to being awkward.

Can we presume it's a Porsche "Urus" underneath the bodywork ?
I hope its better made than the Urus - the only one I've seen in, was parked up in Manchester city centre earlier this week and had what I assume was a stress crack right across the windscreen (no sign of impact or any other damage). That isn't acceptable on a brand new £20K car let a lone a £200k (after options) one. Dale487 said:

however I prefer the looks of the standard cayenne which for me is a really good looking SUV.
Agreed.Cayenne would have been my next car in 18 months time had they not dropped the diesel option
