Speaking of Legends- any love for the last shape which is now firmly in thread territory? My XF lease car goes back early next year and I fancy a year of barging rather than jumping back into something new. Always had a soft spot for Hondas and a 3.5 V6 with vtec (yo) and some toys for a few grand seems appealing, e.g:

Spotted this lovely 2.6 at the Poole Bay Classics motorshow at Breamore House earlier today. Lovely condition. Anyone here?

£570 tax and front-wheel drive (I think?)

Woudn't be my choice. Older LS400/460 if you are a jap fan.

Lovely. I took the mudflaps off mine after they dragged on the floor during enthusiastic cornering (springs and shocks now replaced!).

Not really hefty - it'll get plenty more miles than that, and as you say, it is only 3narf. As always the detail of the maintenance will be key.

One of the plethora of 190 owners was after a period headunit for their car, but I can’t find the thread / post to remind myself who. I have this fine specimen available for P&P money only so do get in touch if of interest.

Very kind offer, but the lack of tasselled loafers in shot limits your market!
Are those jeans, too? Not even a pair of red or mustard cords?

Outrageous!

It was sparks_190e who was after the stereo.

Thank you! Have pm’d.
Do we now have a thread period headunit? Glad to be of assistance smile
Ne'er a gravel drive either; sniff.

Now, if someone could point me in the direction of the alleged private messaging facilities I'd be obliged.

Always fancied a KB1 Legend. The tax wouldn't bother me, and apparently they lap Honda's test track as quickly as an S2000 which appeals far more than it should.

Then again I suspect you're right: the grass is greener and an LS400 would remain the better barge. This one looks extremely appealing.

High cost of entry on the face of it, but looks like all of the major things have been refreshed, and from experience could therefore provide an easy three years of maintenance free motoring, whereas you'd have rebuilt an E65 or W211 from the ground up in that time. There is very little else to go wrong and they really don't rust at all: I still keep lifting the bonnet and looking underneath and all around mine, desperately trying to find something to fix or spend money on.

There seem to be loads of pretty worthy barges for sale on the 'Bay at the moment. Here are a few of my faves:

And finally, how achingly cool is this:

You have a very good eye old fruit.

I'm really struggling to find a reason not to buy that Lancia. LHD isn't too daft for my circumstances right now, and if it genuinely isn't rusty that has to be a rare beast.

Absolutely stunning. Could only be cooler if it was that pale metallic blue colour. This one has no sunroof aperture to rot around.
