Slightly O/T, but is anyone familiar with Italian eBay? Or speak Italian? Or know any Italians? Or even like pizza?

I am looking at sexy Fiats. (I know, it needs to be said carefully, but I am).

I rather like this but suspect it's a scam; anyone able to shed any light? Vendor appears to have no other sales and I can't really work it out. Car should be around 20-30K euros I'd have thought, unless I really am buying from Giuseppe who has no idea of its worth.

As an aside, it's not often you get a photo posted here with the wheelie bins in the background, but it's testament to the beauty of the car that I only noticed them after gazing at it in forensic detail for about 4 hours.
Apologies for a self-quote, and an O/T one at that, but this has just ended at a little over 14,000 euros. I bid up to around 11 and a half and am pretty sure it was legit after all. The seller sent me a bunch more photos but didn't answer my specific questions, but there were quite a few bidders so it wasn't being shilled I don't think. I reckon that isn't a bad buy.

I think I might keep an eye out for one of these Fiats next year; they are very pretty little things.
It's gorgeous. Keep up the hunt.

Citroen CX Safari, £600!!!!!!!!!!

Last had MOT in 2007, looks to have been kept outside. Balls of [less corroded] steel required.

This would grace many threads, but I'm giving it to YOU FIRST.

Volvo 260 2.8 GLE. The full Gerald with 204k on it for a mere £2100. Thank me with your forecourt shot.

This Volvo makes me feel dirty and ashamed to be a part of this thread.

Must dash - a cold shower awaits.

Magnificent old Volvo, I’m sure an MoT test will just be a formality.

A pass, however..... wink

I love the Volvo, but the driveway offers precisely the opposite sense of well-being so well documented in this thread previously; caravan - check, concrete slab driveway construction - check, builders van in background...

In other news, I’ve just landed in Tenerife, which appears to be home of the white, taxi-spec Mercedes Benz (new and old) . I’ll drip feed snaps as and when.

The exterior looks OK but it looks like a tip inside!

Much rather have this one:

Apples and oranges though really and I reckon it'd clean up well and a bit of leather dye would turn that into a nicely patinated seat.

Can't remember the last time I saw a 260 for sale.

Is that for the V12? If so, that's really not too bad at all!

I landed in Lanzarote yesterday, seen loads of 190e’s which I love, as well as other classics that in the UK would have rusted to oblivion. The caveat being instead of crust they’re covered in dents hehe

Totally off topic... But we frequently discuss colours in this thread. Many cars these days are boring..... White, black, silver or grey. I have just seen photos of the new BMW M8 in one called Ametrine metallic. I think it's wonderful! Like a dark purple, similar to the old Mora metallic they did.

Is this some sort of thread excursion to the Canaries, the invitation to which I've missed?

Grudas' is the Crown Athlete (2.5 1JZ-GTE iirc), need to ask 21stCenturyMan for his V12 - can't be that bad can it? I can't remember the model code but officially most of them are around 13.9l/100km (20mpg).
