Did 928's get used in competition much?

Not that I recall, almost certainly not as an official factory team, they were aimed at the GT market and Porsche had the full Le Mans racing team at the time. 924s were (rather counter intuitively) more frequently raced. And of course the 911 and 959 were rallied. The 935 (flat nose 911) won Le Mans. Probably most other models were raced at one time or another but not the "landshark".

Is that a 928S2 and a half? S4 chassis but without the S4 32V engine?:

It was a dodgy deal, guy leaving country quickly, no papers, but it was worth a punt. It all turned out legal and above board. Had a ding in back quarter which I never fixed, annoyed the hell out of some people!!

Always said I'd have another but they are beyond my meagre means now!!
