Stock it is very wheezy indeed. I really enjoyed mine with some tweaks, 230bhp ish NA and good torque where previously the awful torque dip was sat. Sounded good too with a exhaust, still miss it. Close to 1200kg kerb (1050kg Ferrari/Alfa weight wink )
Of course a 996 tweaks well too... In fairness, Porsches are supposed to be pretty great out of the box, the GT86/BRZ was intended to be tweaked ...
Not sure where Rich comments on visibility and easier to place come from, both are very similar I would say, both great visibility with low noses and bulged front wheel arches, and same width within a few mm.

230BHP NA?

What the heck was done? Mine had Training Devs UEL decat headers, AVO exhaust, tuned by both Fensport and Mike at TD yet only made a little over 200 (up from 176 stock).

E85 year round. But it is possible on gas too (US), UEL isn't good for power, dynos do read quite differently...

Edit: but chasing NA power is quite futile if your idea is to be fast, for me it was about the major change in character, transforming the engine from the main weak point, to an asset contributing to the whole...
