RE: Aston Martin Vantage RS: Showpiece of the Week
Discussion
"Extensive use of carbon and aluminium in the build, plus a stripped out interior, meant the RS weighed 100kg more than a V8, with 60kg of that accounted for by the engine."
So 60 kg of the extra 100 kg was because the V12 is heavier than the V8? That means it would still be 40 kg heavier after it had been 'stripped out'. Where does that extra 40 kg come from?

Does it have a beefed-up drivetrain to match? So 60 kg of the extra 100 kg was because the V12 is heavier than the V8? That means it would still be 40 kg heavier after it had been 'stripped out'. Where does that extra 40 kg come from?
