The Ford Performance wheels are available separately, and have been for some time.

There are rumours that the warranty backed Mountune thing will disappear and be replaced by "Ford Performance" - well... according to certain forums anyway,
They are, though they're not ever so cheap. I thought the 18s were five-stud only up to now but I might be wrong.

The last time I spoke to someone within Ford, I got the impression that no engine upgrades were planned for the ST, though I think you're right, the mountune partnership is being replaced by Ford Performance upgrades. They seem to have been slowly edging towards that for quite a few months now.

Get a MK7, few choice mods and have 300 bhp in a Fiesta.
Not so great if you want a warranty though laugh

If only they made an RS, wider track, flared arches, bonnet vents and 250 bhp. This looks great though.
I think manufacturers are missing a market, imagine such a group test;

Fiesta rs, Audi rs1, Mini Cooper rs, clio rs16

I’d be all over one

Looks fantastic in those photos. Will be a fantastic steer that’s for sure.

I just hope that people will actually use them as intended and not wrapped up in cotton wool and sold to RS Direct with 10 miles on the clock like all the Blue, Red and Orange Edition FRS’s.

Very true but 300 bhp, in a Fiesta, thats mental.

Wonder how far the new one will tune ?

Now that would be some group test !!!

Where my money would go would be very tricky indeed.

Hey I got blue edition straight out of Ford, and it was £1500 cheaper than a second hand one being offered through RS Direct. But wholeheartedly agree, the Heritage was sold badly by Ford with them more often than not going to the highest bidder, that awful Shmeee or held by management in the dealership, bi-passing the true fans that have kept the RS brand alive through the dark times when Ford tried to kill it off!

Will probably be the only chance you get to see that orange on the road too as the Heritage's are all tucked away in garages

Yes, I like that orange. For a car like that.

I've just bought an ex-demo Mk2 Q3 and one of the options is Pulse Orange. I've not seen one on that colour, but the launch Turbo Blue is pretty horrible to my eyes - for an SUV. I got Chronos Grey.... I have a friend with a previous-model Fiesta ST and she loves the car...

I know this is currently the halo model for the Fiesta but just think about the spec for a second...

Quaife ATB
Bang and Olufsen audio
LED headlights
Bump and rebound adjustable coilovers
200bhp
Fancy paint

From the factory. In a Fiesta. That's cover car material in a tuner mag 15 years ago and it's built by a manufacturer with warranty.

Mental.

It is. It's staggering how much that engine will take really.

I think, for the aftermarket, this one might be trickier. If Ford won't even sign-off warranty on the basic mountune upgrade, I guess it isn't so strong as the old engine. I'm sure a few people will soon put them to the test though!

Surprised myself by liking this.

Yep orange works well, especially with those light wheels.
Seems like a great bit of kit with the suspension changes. As a previous poster mentioned; quaffe and factory coilovers in a Fiesta!

Does not seem much to dislike for a new fun hot hatch - you d'ont always need 300bhp for driving goodness.

NICE! Shame it's UK only -- this would make a nice combo with a MX5 30AE for those really into orange smile.

Price doesn't look as bad, as previously noted one would want the LSD and the LED lights. Good sound system also welcome. It is only once compared to street prices (after discount) that these special eds become more difficult to justify. Same thing with the AE MX...

Keep finding myself drawn to the normal one, had to give my wifes normal ecoboost Mk7 a pre mot Italian tune up last night and I reckon its more fun than My M135i, my sons ST is way more fun, might try one and hopefully the ride is less busy and would it be as easy to live with ? at 48 will I look a tit biggrin

As for this one, sure its ace but orange is a bit lairy.
Once the initial fun of banging it though the gears and feeling the torque most things are more fun than a M135i, it drives like a fast 120d. I had one for 2 years, I'm not hating but I don't see why anyone would buy one other than as a quick commuter car.

The ST would make a great daily whilst being a bit more of an exciting steer, if this is around 27k though that puts it in Megane 280 or Leon Cupra territory which makes it a bit of a harder sell.

Not a fan of orange on any car but I would take the rest.

Just priced up a Performance blue with performance pack, B&O, LED's suspension and wheels just under £27900.

As above. Orange paint is ghastly. Spec a normal one up to that spec

Cant argue with that, not a bad car but does it set your pulse racing, not really, with a few mods, maybe but the ST works out of the box.

Love it, a bit pricey but I guess most cars are these days. Bet it's great fun as even the mk8 1.0 ecoboost is fun.
