A few years back a local van rental found that when they were getting a twin wheeled van back the inner rears were swapped for more worn tyres. On checking it had been going on for a few months. The hirers where the local church, but it was one of the parishioners that was doing it.

You'll find the centers wear faster.
No manufacturer for saloons/hatchbacks recommends 45psi.
Most are around 33-35.
I notice hugely at 42psi on my car it's crap!!
41psi for the mk3 Focus ST.

On the 19" wheels, yeah. 41/F, 38/R.

ETA: I believe the Focus RS has the same.

Maybe the op's Polish cousins weren't as big as the tyre fitters Polish cousins.

Maybe his Polish cousins have arranged some restorative justice and for once an OP has been sensible and not posted any further about it on the internet.

A good few years ago when we ran these we had a new one delivered with alloy wheels when most of them had steels

It went into the workshops for its first service and when one of the lads went to collect it he saw it was sitting on steel rims

He asked where the alloys were and got lots of head shaking and “don’t know what you are talking about mate” from the workshop staff

Giving up, he drove out and spotted a privately owned Sierra in the car park with a set of very natty alloys

He stopped and went over and had a closer look .. and sure enough the alloys had the fleet number of the “job” car written on the spokes

The resulting conversation had the mechanic who owned the Sierra in the custody suite and the wheels back on the car they should have been on
