I always thought Saab’s swan song was a nice looker. Never driven one so don’t care about how it drives, just how it looks
It'll drive like an Insignia, surely?

Perhaps a little biased, but for the modern era....

Apart from some of the exotica on here ,this is a modern classic imo. beautifully balanced car.
My thoughts entirely.

Manages the fine line between beauty and aggression whilst still being stand-out from the rest of the range,

Honorable second place must be the E46 CSL, not just good looking (imo) but a car that looks absolutely "fit for purpose" as well, again a trick that some more modern stuff spectacularly fails to pull off:

Definite contender ..... IF IT WAS A 4 DOOR SALOON !!!! winklaugh

In the spirit of these threads always becoming a 'here's a picture of my car', and given that I've only seen one other Honda posted.

Here's a picture of my car / Honda / 4 door saloon hehe

What was this style of saloon called? From my childhood classic car mags I think it was Italian inspired, but we seem to have gone mad for it in this country for a period.

The Vauxhall is very much a 40watt version of American cars of the time.
It is also visible in the Triumph.

From someone that’s a little biased against the look of most older cars and has just turned 30, that E36 in purple M5 form and the lotus Carlton are winners for me in the timeless looks category. Also that older S8 from page 1. But that’s just IMHO smile

I didn’t mean that to come over as derogatory as it may have seemed. It’s a really nice design given the constraints.
People were thirsting for a bit of post-war glamour and designs like this delivered some.

I'm loving this thread, mostly as I'm three pages in and apart from things like the Fisker I've owned many of these cars #Vindicated,

Three of the Jags, X308, MK2 & XJ6
Two of the Alfa's,
A heap of Cortinas
& I even had the Maserati Quattroporte ordered (sadly the order fell through).

But seriously people surely those "Beamers" are a bit bland, the Cortinas at least have some retro cool about them.

The Victor FA.

The Herald is two doors short of a four door saloon.

Two votes for the Maser QPV1, one for the QPV. Make that two-all.
