After all this time still head and shoulders above the rest.
Not going to disagree with you... thumbup

That's a nice looking car you've got there.

In line with far too many posts on this thread, I recommend the Ducati 916 to be the best looking 4 door saloon car ever.

All it needs is a leaper and chrome wheel arch trim.

Thanks.

I'll keep that in mind whilst trying to decide whether a pair of oversized Union Jack or St Georges flag cushions would look best on the back seat... smile

Anyway, here's my choice, could have picked a few but thought I'd single one out; E28 Alpina:

Are there no PHers who realise that cars have been around for over 12 decades
My thoughts entirely. I offer the Riley Kestrel ...

or its successor the RM series .,.

If it has to be more recent then the XJ6 series 2 is the only contender (though maybe not in this guise) ...

And don’t forget the Brexit sticker and fake tan. They are wonderful banger racers though.

Even in an interesting colour, that is one incredibly dully looking car.

Even in an interesting colour, that is one incredibly dull sounding joke.

No way.

Although this has always grabbed me as curiously and ruggedly handsome..

Being an owner of this I obviously think the Fiat Argenta (albeit modded) is a strong contender

..aswell as the Pininfarina masterpiece Peugeot 505 Turbo Injection

..or the E28 5-series, here the M5.

yes

Still looks very fresh.

E90 will age well IMO.

Still one of the most iconic designs, and interesting engineering.

I'm amazed at some of theses suggestions - i know its all down to taste but some right munters in this lot
This.

Amazing how taste varies so much. Some of the cars that people are offering up as the best ever looking 4 door saloons are what I'd offer if you had asked me for the worst looking.

Mainly any of the old Jags. To my eyes they're absolutely hideous. Anything that looks like a snail with spider eyes is never gonna do it for me.

I'd probably be in with the Americana-loving lot, though that new Alfa Giulia Quadrothingameebob is a nice looking car as well.

Also amazed that certain-era 5 series were getting so much love when they were widely considered to be awful looking when they first came out.

Aerodynamics? Who knows but Cadillac made a fantastic job of the 1960 Series 62 flat top sedan.
