My daughter had her 16th birthday party with 100 people in our house. We survived, but I found a pill this morning and I can’t identify it.

It’s round, half white and half bluey grey. Anyone know what it is?

Thanks.

Blurry pics but can you identify a logo? Been a few years but...

Looks like an Ecstasy tab.

Yes those are terrible pictures. Didn’t realise when I uploaded them.

No branding / logo at all. Ecstasy was my guess but I thought they were single coloured.

Is she ok? that's the important bit.

Kids do drugs. Despite what the media say
Most of them make it to adulthood absolutely fine.

I’d ask your daughter if she knows? If you get 100 16 year olds together they’ll be all sorts of kids in the group.

Not ideal having your dog or whoever finding drugs or dodgy viagra in your house though.

Don’t start using drug street names and blagging you know all about it, it will go wrong. At my school they trained the teachers to identify drugs and a few days later, my old housemaster was licking his finger and tasting my friends acne powder because he thought he’d discovered some exotic narcotics. Don’t be like him. hehe

She'll be lucky/unlucky to find a whole group of 100 teenagers who haven't dabbled in drugs.

OP; talk to her, see if she knows. Better to have a sensible chat now than her finding out everything for herself at uni.

It's unusual for a prescription drug not to have an imprint on it to aid identification.

I wouldn't think anyone manufacturing a drug like ecstacy would go to the trouble of making it in two colours.

Are you sure it's not a sweet?

Hardly.
If it was a bag full, then yes.

Really? Even 20 years ago there were all sorts of "brands" in all shapes and colours. You'd be amazed. It's quite lucrative, and if it was "good" everyone was wanting it.

Best guess based on the appearance for me would be a 'double' ecstasy tablet. Whilst not quite exactly double in size nor strength they do tend to be that bit stronger than the usual ones. Logos aren't as common on the double ones, and colours in all sizes vary a lot.

If it turns out that is the case (and indeed if your daughter knows of this - big party etc) the biggest danger to tell her about - from a health POV - is something called PMA, a compound which the MDMA is sometimes cut with for cost and bulking purposes. PMA raises heart rate enough in itself, so when combined it can be quite dangerous.

Going away from appearance, it may be one of many pharmaceutical drugs that some use for recreational purposes.
