The new 3er, thank F*** they've......
Discussion
I had that exact spec and colour recently as a courtesy car (320d M sport) and I was left very impressed!
On the public road I think you wouldn't want that much more performance, the handling was really good too and the body control was amazing. It had bags of grip too.
They are really nice inside and in the flesh they look so much better.

Please tell me that's a Chinese imitation?I really like the Bentley Mulsanne, not because it’s pretty, but actually because it’s ugly, big fat fk off of a car.
I feel the same for the new 7, imagine that in 750i guise with the 520 bhp V8 bolting off....I don’t know why but I like big ugly fast cars, there’s something about them!

I love the look of the new one.
One of the best designed 3 series.
I agree. One of the best designed 3 series.
I was admiring a mineral grey one parked in a car park only this morning. Just a 320d but an absolutely cracking looking car IMO.
I seem to recall reading somewhere that the bonnet design on the old one was something to do with pedestrian impact testing. Having the "soft" plastics extend further back helped prevent injury. I agree it did ruin the front of the car though.

Say what you want but you can’t tell me that doesn’t look cool, in its own way.

That's a valid pointI was admiring a mineral grey one parked in a car park only this morning. Just a 320d but an absolutely cracking looking car IMO.

The design of the old car also meant that you could have a heavier frontal impact without deforming the bonnet, reducing repair costs and helping to keep insurance costs down.
They've obviously found a different way to resolve these issues now.
Love it whenever they bring a new car out and it's apparently never as good as the one 20 years ago, which in turn was a travesty of the one before that.
Give it 10 years and people will be eulogising these when it's a £3000 Shed Of The Week ( That's inflation for you )

Can you get the MSport without the black pack/shadow line/whatever it’s called, perhaps the 3er grill is more a colour thing. No forgiveness for the 7er though.
Have had one for several weeks that does not have the M-Sport Plus pack which includes the black grill but to be fair the silver grill still looks big.Annoyingly since WLTP more manufacturers are offering packs rather than individual options so you need the black grill, privacy glass etc if you want the bigger alloys.
As a car, much better drive than the previous one but A/C system annoys me as it’s over complicated.
