Still can't decide between a FSTI and an Impreza Spec C as a family car...

Both seem great but in reality I know the Forester makes the most sense.

An Impreza Spec C makes no sense as a family car, other than having 4 seats.

Just as a quick update as I’m now back from japan and my dad as asked me to facilitate the sale of his car.

The forester can be inspected on a ramp if required & located in the midlands, where it is currently under a cover and in secure storage.

12months MOT will be provided for the car, (runs out next month) but will be undertaken for the new owner.

Full service has just been undertaken (with receipt), with all belts changed in this service. Drives perfect, as is the bodywork.

4WD alignment has also just been done (again with receipt to prove), Tyres have plenty of tred etc too.

Current specification is as follows

All parts are genuine, and total around £9,000 looking at what I paid out on the receipts.

All parts have been purchased new including the optional STI items.(again full receipts available)

• CE28 Wheels (unmarked), STI optional Front Splitter
• Brembo brakes were replaced about 1000 miles ago discs and pads. Pads are brembo. Braided brake lines are project mu.
• Project Mu locking Nuts
• STI lowering springs (optional).
• STI Front splitter (optional)
• STI Carbon mirror
• Zero Sports air intake hard pipe.
• Zero Sports Oil cap
• Zero Sports radiator cap
• Apexi Filter,
• Beatrush Tower Bar (strut brace).
• Cusco brake stopper.
• Kakimoto Muffler (cat back) with bung.
• Zerosports bonnet scoop intake.
• Defi BF gauges, oil temp, oil pressure, boost, and water temp. Boost is always run at stock boost.
• There is no boost controller, so runs stock boost.
• Robson Leather Shift and Handbrake boots.
• Robson leather carbon/leather steering wheel.
• Robson leather carbon centre panel.
• Yashiro Factory shifter.
• Parrott Navi (UK specification item fitted in UK)
• CAT1 Alarm & tracker
• Winter mat set, and boot liner (purchased new)

Zero sports cooling panel will also be included (never fitted and in box)

Price is £14,000

Kind Regards

That is fit in a way that only a Japanese fan could understand.

If I had £14,000.

Seems like a great car. Has it had any engine upgrades?

Well, if anyone is interested, they can drop me a note. In no rush to sell.

If you look at the specification list. i focused for him more on cosmetics, improving the interior etc (the centre console and wheel was £2500 to do in japan), All receipts for the mods are £9k. plus the detail, service etc

engine is totally stock internals / turbo etc. It is in perfect health, as is the transmission / clutch.

what i have added is in the spec list above. The car was completely stock upon import.

just had a service, with all new belts (it didnt need it, as they were changed upon import, but did it anyway), oil changed and everything checked prior to storage.

The outside of the car has also just been professionally detailed

post detail

Hope that helps.

Hi, i will check on monday / Tuesday and ask the company who has in storage for me, to double check.

i just looked back through the service history.

upon import (and have picture of the oddo) was 98,504kms. The clocks still go in KMs, MOT garage seem to have recorded "miles".

my dad's insurance policy is a 5,000mile max per year, so couldnt go over this. Looking back through all the MOTs etc. His covered around 3,000 miles per year.

so goes 64k ,68k, 71k, 73k, 75k over the respective years.

Happy to chat further and all the best.

I am actually in the process of buying a Forester STI with a few tweaks. Yours looks lovely so should pick up a buyer quickly I would have thought. Good luck!

I spotted this today driving through Halifax out towards Hebden, I spotted the PH sticker which then jogged my memory that there was a PH Fleet article that I'd read recently, I didn't realise Dan was local to me. It looked clean and a very nice car, I bet it goes OK too with that remap. Do you have any plans for it Dan, will you be keeping it or not?

A Foz STi must be a candidate for the “fastest real-world point to point” debate beloved of these parts.

All of the unflappable poise and pace of an Impreza plus a higher seating position affording superior visibility.
