Curious where are you getting £90k from? Just looked and they are $55k starting price. I’d think you should be able to land one in the UK for £55-60k depending on the exact route you take. Still a lot of money. But ballpark to the Supra.
Starting at £72,945, plus options:

Making closer to 400bhp at the crank as tested on a dyno. Link is from Facebook so unsure if it works.

Well that's good news........I wonder where the understating came from, whether someone thought it might be a good idea or whether it was imposed in some way?

Cars given to the media could be 'tweaked'? A few of the American mags have tested various hot BMWs over the years and they nearly always put out far more than the official figures. I think Motor Trend tested an F10 M5 and got well over 600hp, iirc.

Yes quite. There are lots of examples where US dyno's seem to register the same power at the wheels, as they're rated for at the crank. Owning a MKIV for over 10 years there were frequently new UK owners asking why US Supra's were so much more powerful (they aren't).

From what I read elsewhere the new Supra was also dyno'd in the wrong gear. It should be dyno'd in the gear ratio as close to 1:1 as possible, which they didn't.

Not seen a thread on this yet but rumours around that Toyota/BMW are putting the new M3/4 engine in the Supra.
