Wow threed. According to your garage it's the B5 too, absolute perfection. I'd love to get one after the E63 when they come down in price. What's it like?
The closest thing I think I've driven to it is a Rolls Royce Wraith. It doesn't bang, pop or shout. It just flows across the tarmac. It encourages you to drive it smoothly. It's when you catch up to slower traffic, often obviously not trying to be slower traffic, that you realise the pace it carries.
In Sport it's more comfortable than my old 340i was in Comfort. The gearbox calibration is a work of art; the suspension likewise. It's not trying to be a sports car. It's trying to be the most luxurious BMW estate, just one that happens to be capable of going more than 200 mph. I suspect it gets to that speed with little fuss, and I suspect you can have a nice conversation with your passengers whilst doing so.

Big Alpina estates started with the E34 - first with a 4.0 then a 4.6, here's the only rhd car...

Do love the looks of these, especially without the big 19s on them. Pricing all over the place at the moment though and I'm finding it hard to ignore the Leon Cupra for the same money with 300bhp, AWD and virtual cockpit Vs a vRS with a bigger boot (which is the main requirement!) and a more discreet demeanour!

Was this purchased recently from one of the online auction sites? It's a fine and rare beast.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
